Bai Tong nodded in agreement.
"So what if you can't stand it? Do you really think you can stop me and my master?" Her eyes were filled with mockery, clearly believing that Ruan Fu Xi lacked the ability to do so. In her view, Ruan Fu Xi's current fame was solely due to her boyfriend, Sheng Yan Zhou, who was in the Foundation Establishment stage. Otherwise, what right did she have to be so arrogant?

Pulling her gaze away, Bai Tong began to prepare her spell. Just as she and Bai Zhu were making their moves, Ruan Fu Xi acted as well. With a simple gesture, Bai Tong and Bai Zhu's expressions changed dramatically.
"What did you do?"
How could they have failed?
Ruan Fu Xi smirked. "What I do is none of your business. You do your thing, and I'll do mine. Let's see whose skills are better."
Bai Tong's anger flared, and she charged at Ruan Fu Xi. However, before Ruan Fu Xi could make a move, Sheng Yan Zhou had already stepped in front of her, blocking Bai Tong's attack.
With a light push, Bai Tong spat out a mouthful of blood.
Bai Zhu's expression darkened. "We are from the Bai Shan Sect. Are you really going to oppose us?"
Sheng Yan Zhou remained unfazed. "It doesn't matter where they come from; bullying Xiao Xi is unacceptable."
Seeing Bai Zhu cursing under his breath, Sheng Yan Zhou frowned and used a spell to silence him.
Bai Zhu fell silent.
It was truly embarrassing! He had lost to two juniors. Once he returned to the Baishan Sect and clarified their identities, he would make sure they understood the consequences.
Aside from the grim expressions on Bai Tong and Bai Zhu's faces, Ye Sheng's demeanor was equally dismal. At that moment, he realized that the people he had invited were no match for Ruan Fuxi. Did this not imply that they were at a loss for how to resolve their own issues?
Seeing this, Bai Tong and Bai Zhu gained a clear understanding of Sheng Yanzhou's strength. Aware that staying here would yield no results, they decided it was a waste of time. Thus, they turned to Ye Sheng and said, "Mr. Ye, please contact us again once you and your daughter have reached a consensus. Today is not the right time."
With that, they turned to leave. As Bai Tong walked away, he couldn't help but cast a glare at Ruan Fuxi. He had known all along that letting Sheng Yanzhou speak up for her was pointless; if she had the ability, she should handle it herself.
Once the two had departed, Ruan Fuxi turned to Ye Ling and said, "You are already aware of the situation. If you want your mother to be free, you will have to dismantle the building."
Ignoring her father's intimidating gaze, Ye Ling replied with determination, "I understand, Miss Ruan. I will find a way."
Ruan Fuxi nodded. "I will be staying in Port City for another day. If you need anything, feel free to contact me."
Ye Ling politely saw them off as they got into their car. Sheng Yanzhou also had accommodations in Port City, but they chose not to stay there since it had been empty for quite some time. They decided that a hotel would be more suitable for just one night.
As the two settled into the hotel, Ruan Fuxi watched Sheng Yanzhou emerge from the bathroom. Suddenly, she recalled the way Bai Tong had looked at him and spoke up, "Bai Tong has taken a liking to you."
