"What should I prepare for the event?"
Zhou Yi replied quickly, "You don't need to prepare much. Just bring yourself and your skills. There will be various competitions, and you can showcase your abilities. It's also a great chance to network with others in the field." Ruan Fu Xi felt a surge of excitement. The thought of meeting other practitioners and possibly learning from them thrilled her. She typed back, "Sounds great! When is it happening?"
Zhou Yi responded, "It's in two weeks. The venue will be at the Grand Hall of the White Mountain Sect. Make sure to register in advance!" Ruan Fu Xi nodded to herself, already planning her schedule. She had two weeks to prepare, and she wanted to make the most of this opportunity.
"Thank you for letting me know! I’ll definitely sign up," she replied.
As she put down her phone, Ruan Fu Xi's mind raced with possibilities. This could be her chance to not only prove herself but also to uncover more about her father's past and his connection to the White Mountain Sect. She felt a mix of determination and anticipation as she began to think about how she would present herself at the event.
With a deep breath, Ruan Fu Xi decided it was time to get ready for the challenges ahead. She would practice her skills and perhaps even seek advice from those who had more experience in the field. This was just the beginning of a new chapter in her journey, and she was ready to embrace it fully.
On Monday, Zhou Yi sent her a link.
"You still need to register. Fu Xi, just click in and fill out some basic information. It's on our internal forum."
Ruan Fu Xi clicked the link, glanced at it, and after simply filling in her name and age, she submitted it.
Once her registration was successful, she checked the details of the event on the internal forum.
It showed that the event would start in a month, located in the province. As for the competition content, it was nothing more than fortune-telling and ghost-catching.
Finally, Ruan Fu Xi's gaze landed on the prizes for the event. The rewards for the top three were still unknown, but she had a faint feeling that there might be something she wanted among them.
After exiting the forum, Ruan Fu Xi received another message from Zhou Yi.
"By the way, Fu Xi, do you remember that Bai Tong who went with me to the Banshan villa last time? The one from the Bai Shan sect."
Ruan Fu Xi replied, "I remember. What's up?"
Zhou Yi frowned slightly. "I told her last time that the talisman to ward off ghosts was drawn by you. Since then, Bai Tong has been trying to dig up information about you. After learning that you resolved the issues at Banshan villa, she's been even more suspicious and keeps asking me about you. I feel like she's not quite right."
Zhou Yi didn't have much regard for Bai Tong now. Although she came from a prominent sect like Bai Shan, her character wasn't very straightforward. He realized he shouldn't have had any biases toward Bai Tong just because of her affiliation.
"Just be careful around her," he advised Ruan Fu Xi.
Ruan Fu Xi nodded to indicate she understood.
That day, Ruan Fu Xi had no classes in the morning and was just about to head out to meet her partner for a date.
