She was truly worried about her father.

Ye Ling was anxious to resolve this matter quickly.
Ruan Fuxi looked at her steadily, and for some reason, Ye Ling suddenly felt a twinge of unease in her heart.
"Do you really want to hear this?"
Ignoring that feeling of unease, Ye Ling nodded.
Ruan Fuxi replied, "Three thousand for the divination."
She wasn't going to work for free.
Ye Ling was taken aback but quickly transferred three thousand yuan.
Ruan Fuxi kindly reminded her, "You need to prepare yourself mentally."
Seeing the serious expression on her face only intensified Ye Ling's anxiety, but she nodded again.
Ruan Fuxi continued, "Your father has had two wives; your biological mother is the first one. When you were eight years old, your mother suddenly passed away. Am I right?"
Ye Ling didn't understand why she suddenly brought this up but nodded nonetheless.
"That's correct."
Talking about her mother's passing made Ye Ling feel low. They had been in Hong Kong when it happened; she wasn't home when her mother died. By the time she received the news and rushed back from school, all she found was her mother's urn.
Ruan Fuxi pressed on, "Why do you think your mother died?"
Ye Ling looked up in confusion. "Isn't it because she suffered a heart attack and couldn't be saved?"
Ruan Fuxi shook her head. "Not at all; your mother committed suicide."
Ye Ling's expression was one of surprise, quickly followed by a cold response. "Impossible. My mother was pregnant when she left; how could she suddenly commit suicide?"
Ruan Fuxi asked, "Do you have a photo of your mother?"
Ye Ling hesitated for a moment, then began searching through her phone. Finally, she placed a photo in front of Ruan Fuxi. After her mother's death, Ye Ling had worried about forgetting what she looked like, so she had saved her mother's photos and later transferred them to her phone as she grew older.
Ruan Fuxi glanced at the picture and then stated firmly, "Your mother committed suicide."
Shock washed over Ye Ling's face as she murmured, "But my dad told me that my mother died of a heart attack."
Ruan Fuxi replied bluntly, "He lied to you."
Ye Ling was confused. "Why would my dad lie to me?"
Ruan Fuxi raised an eyebrow and said directly, "Miss Ye, you're not a foolish person; you should be able to figure out the reason. Your mother's suicide is related to your father."
Ye Ling's face turned pale in an instant. She didn't want to believe this truth.
Forcing a smile, she asked, "Miss Ruan, are you joking?"
Ruan Fuxi replied, "Do you think I would take your three thousand for divination and then joke with you?"
Ye Ling knew that was unlikely.
Ruan Fuxi continued, "Miss Ye, do you want to keep listening? The truth may be more brutal than you think."
