Ruan Anmu was a girl who clearly had a good life. If only she could share in some of that fortune. From her earlier observations, it was evident that the other party didn’t seem to be looking for a reunion. But then again, it made sense; her man and Ruan Anmu’s father weren’t really blood brothers, not to mention that her father had passed away ten years ago, and she had been sent to an orphanage. No one from the He family cared about her.
Ruan Anmu must have no feelings for them at all. Given this situation, her sudden return must be for another reason. As she thought about the house and courtyard she currently lived in, the woman felt a twinge of unease. Could Ruan Anmu be trying to reclaim this house? The thought made her face darken immediately. There was no way she would give this house back. After all, her family had lived here for so long; it belonged to them now.
While the woman stood inside contemplating, Ruan Anmu was gazing at the courtyard. It looked different from her memories. In the past, her mother had planted many shrubs and trees there, but now they had been uprooted, leaving only a concrete floor.
Ruan Anmu sighed. The woman wanted to approach Ruan Anmu and strike up a conversation, but she hesitated when she noticed the two tall men standing nearby, feeling somewhat intimidated. In the end, she kept her mouth shut.
After a while, a man and a woman hurriedly entered from outside. They bore a striking resemblance to each other, clearly siblings. Before He Ming even stepped through the door, he shouted loudly, “Where is everyone? I heard that my niece, who lost her parents when she was little, has come back!”
Upon hearing this, Ruan Anmu’s expression turned cold. He Ming’s wife chimed in, and he instinctively assumed that this niece was here to cause trouble. So he left the card table and rushed back with his sister in tow.
He Lianxuan behind him was also cursing.

"Who are you calling a damned girl?"
He Lianxuan immediately fell silent, shaking her head repeatedly.
A woman walked out from the house and, seeing the tense atmosphere in the yard, quickly tried to smooth things over.
"It's a misunderstanding! This is our Anmu's aunt and uncle; let's just talk it out."
Fu Sihan warned the three of them, "Speak carefully, or don't blame me for being rude."
His girlfriend was not to be insulted by anyone.
He Lianxuan opened her mouth but ultimately said nothing.
He Ming glanced at Fu Sihan's watch and then recalled the Mercedes parked by the roadside when they arrived, his eyes suddenly brightening.
It seemed that this cheap niece of his had hooked up with a wealthy man.
Ruan Anmu noticed that they hadn’t exchanged any pleasantries and went straight to the point.
"This house belongs to my parents. When I was younger, it was temporarily lent to my uncle to live in. Now that I’ve grown up, it’s time for it to be returned to me."
She was determined to get her house back.
Although it wasn’t worth much, she wouldn’t leave it for the He family.
Moreover, she had discussed with Xiao Xi that they wouldn’t reveal their true identities in front of the He family.
After all, since her parents had passed away, there was no way to prove that Xiao Xi was their biological daughter. This made reclaiming the house somewhat difficult.
It would be better not to say anything; anyway, the He family believed she was her parents' biological daughter. She was simply taking back what belonged to her parents—fair and square.
He Ming exploded upon hearing this.
