After the two finished washing up, Ruan Fuxi leaned against the headboard and asked Ruan Anmu, who was on the other bed, "Anmu, can you tell me more about our parents?"
Ruan Anmu put down her phone and nodded. "Sure, what do you want to know?"
With a soft whimper, Ruan Anmu turned to look at Fuxi's flawless face and felt a pang in her heart. "So beautiful!"
Ruan Fuxi replied, "Anything is fine."
Ruan Anmu thought for a moment. "Then I'll just say whatever comes to mind."
After recalling for a moment, her voice filled with a hint of nostalgia echoed in the night. "Mom's last name is Bai; she's incredibly beautiful, like a fairy, with a grace that sets her apart from ordinary people. She's not from Qingshan Town; I heard Dad brought her back from somewhere else, but Mom's health has always been poor."
She paused for a moment and added, "You know, your eyes are very much like Mom's."

Ruan Fuxi recalled that Ruan Anmu had mentioned her biological mother died in a car accident and her biological father had died suddenly without any warning. She found it puzzling and asked, "Did anything strange happen before their deaths?"
Ruan Anmu frowned, trying hard to remember. "Strange things? Let me think..."
Suddenly she seemed to recall something and spoke up. "Actually, there was something. A few days before Mom's accident, she always looked worried and distracted. Ruan Anmu began to recall more seriously. "I remember Mom died in a car accident; the driver fled the scene. When Dad was investigating the culprit, he suddenly died at home. It looked like a sudden death; the hospital said it was a heart issue."
As Ruan Anmu continued to reflect, she suddenly remembered something and raised her voice. "I recall that before Dad passed away, he told me not to sell the house. But I was too young at the time and couldn't compete with the He family. In the end, the house was taken by my uncle, and I was sent to an orphanage. However, I remember that shortly after Mom was buried, the driver who killed her seemed to have been caught. I don't know the specifics about what happened with him."
