When Sheng Yanzhou saw him, he was momentarily taken aback.
"What are you doing here?"
Fu Sichan stood before Sheng Yanzhou with a respectful demeanor.
"Uncle, I came with Anmu to pay respects to Uncle and Aunt."
Sheng Yanzhou's gaze fell on Ruan Anmu, then glanced at Fu Sichan, quickly understanding the situation.
"I'll accompany Xiaoxi back as well; let's go together."
Ruan Anmu felt a surge of excitement upon seeing Sheng Yanzhou, but her expression shifted to surprise as she overheard their conversation.
"So Xiaoxi's boyfriend is my boyfriend's uncle. Does that mean I’ll be following Sichan to see Uncle Sheng in the future? But Xiaoxi and I are sisters!"
Ruan Anmu stood by the roadside, conflicted for a moment, until she heard Ruan Fuxi's voice.
"Anmu, get in Fu Sichan's car; we’ll head to the airport together."
Ruan Anmu snapped back to reality and caught sight of Sheng Yanzhou opening the car door for Ruan Fuxi. A smile spread across her face, her inner fangirl awakening.
"Okay."
Ruan Anmu climbed into Fu Sichan's car and, feeling a bit nosy, asked, "Why didn’t you tell me that Mr. Sheng is your uncle?"
Fu Sichan was initially stunned but then his eyes lit up with excitement. "I'll introduce you to all our relatives later! You must really like me if you want to know about my family."
Seeing his expression, Ruan Anmu understood what he was thinking and playfully retorted, "I don’t want to!"
It was only after being with Fu Sichan that she realized he was quite the romantic.
However, she liked it.
Ruan Fuxi's biological mother was buried in a cemetery in a small town called Qingshan Town, which was two provinces away from the capital. After the four of them boarded the plane and landed, Ruan Anmu was about to take everyone from the train to a car.
There were no trains or high-speed rail in Qingshan Town; only cars could get there. The thought of someone as wealthy as Mr. Sheng, dressed in a custom-tailored suit, squeezing into a car made Ruan Anmu unable to suppress a laugh.
Sheng Yanzhou said, "I arranged for someone to pick us up; we can go directly."
Ruan Anmu snapped back to reality, feeling a bit regretful that she wouldn’t see him and Fu Sichan crammed into a car together. However, having a car would indeed be much more convenient.
As they exited the airport, two Mercedes-Benz cars were waiting by the roadside. Ruan Fuxi blinked at Ruan Anmu and said, "You guys take the front car; Yanzhou and I will follow behind."
Ruan Anmu gestured in agreement.
From the airport to Qingshan Town, the wide concrete road narrowed and became bumpy in some places. After more than three hours, the four of them finally arrived at Qingshan Town. It was around seven in the evening.
They found a hotel in town to check in and decided to visit the cemetery to pay their respects early the next morning. That night, Ruan Fuxi and Ruan Anmu shared the same room.
