Ruan Fuxi thought for a moment and decided to wait for Ruan Jili and Lu Manyun to return home that evening.
When Ruan Jili looked at her, he was a bit surprised, then smiled, "Little Xi, you’re still awake? Do you have something to tell us?"
Ruan Fuxi nodded. "Dad, you really understand me."
Ruan Jili and Lu Manyun exchanged glances, realizing she indeed had something important to say, so they sat down on the sofa. "What is it?"
Ruan Fuxi asked seriously, "Dad, Mom, have we offended anyone in the past?"
Hearing this, Ruan Jili and Lu Manyun became serious as well. "Did something happen?"
They were perceptive and knew their daughter wouldn’t ask such a question without reason.
Ruan Fuxi explained about the financial and life-threatening feng shui trap that had been set up against their family, briefly mentioning Yuan Tian and the ghost market. She hoped that by bringing it up, her parents would be more vigilant.

Lu Manyun frowned in agreement. "Little Xi, your father and I are straightforward people. Even if we have competitors, we wouldn’t let it affect our family. In life, we haven’t made any significant enemies either; I can’t think of anyone who would target us like this."
Ruan Fuxi was not disheartened and continued to ask, "Is it possible that our family has been implicated by someone? Is there anyone close to us who understands metaphysics?"
Ruan Jili and Lu Manyun both turned their gazes towards her, then shook their heads. "Xiao Xi, apart from you, no one in our family is involved in this matter. The families we know are all ordinary people."
Ruan Fuxi sighed inwardly. "Alright then, since that's the case, I'll have to investigate slowly at the ghost market."
"Okay, I understand," she replied. She was worried that with school starting soon, someone might take action against the Ruan family again. Being far away in the city, she couldn't keep an eye on her family's situation at all times.
After pondering for a moment, she said, "Dad, Mom, I don't know if anyone will act against our family again. Since I'm about to start school and I'm worried about not being able to take care of things at home, I plan to set up a formation around our house. If anything happens to the family's feng shui, I'll be able to sense it immediately. You two should also be cautious and avoid bringing anything suspicious back home."
With the protective charms she had prepared for her parents, older brother, younger brother, and An Mu, she believed that nothing would go wrong.
Ruan Jili and Lu Manyun understood that their daughter was concerned for them and felt touched by her thoughtfulness.
After Ruan Fuxi finished her instructions and was about to head upstairs, Ruan Jili suddenly recalled something and hesitated before saying, "Xiao Xi, weren't you just asking if there were any families close to us that might be involved in metaphysics? I just thought of something."
Ruan Fuxi immediately pressed on, "Dad, which family is it?"
Ruan Jili recalled, "When I was young, I heard your great-grandfather mention that our Ruan family used to be a large clan that specialized in metaphysics, feng shui, destiny, and the five elements. However, due to differing beliefs, we split into two branches over two years ago. We are the branch that no longer practices metaphysics while the main branch continues their studies in it."
