Gong Changshun received another slap, this time from Gong Le.
Qi Hui's eyes immediately turned red as she cried out, "It's my fault, Changshun shouldn't have said that about his older brother. He knows he was wrong. He's just a child; please give him some face."

Gong Le slammed the paper onto her face. "Divorce. Take your son and get out of Beijing."
Qi Hui stared blankly at the paternity test results in front of her, fear washing over her. He had discovered the truth after all. Damn it, everything had been fine until now—why did Gong Le have to find out?
They were so close—just a little bit more, and Changshun would have inherited the Gong family fortune.
Qi Hui was a smart woman. Given the situation and the evidence laid bare before her, there was no point in further entanglement. She covered her face in guilt and pain. "Please, understand that I had my reasons. I know I was wrong; I'll take Changshun and leave right away."
At that moment, Gong Changshun also saw the test results, his expression instantly shifting to disbelief as he muttered, "No way, this can't be true."
Gong Le snorted coldly and turned to leave.
After he left, Gong Changshun immediately looked at Qi Hui, still reeling from the shock of what had just happened. He couldn't believe it was true. "Mom, what is going on? Why am I not Dad's biological son?"
He had wanted to take over Si's business, but now he found out he wasn't even a member of the Gong family.
At this moment, Qi Hui no longer resembled the weak figure from earlier. With a cold expression, she watched the direction in which Gong Le had left and reassured, "Don't worry, Mom will make the Gong family pay the price. Whatever you want, Mom will give it to you."
Gong Changshun trusted her greatly and nodded in agreement. "Mom, I'll listen to you."
Soon, Qi Hui received the divorce agreement from Gong Le, which stated that she would leave with nothing. She appeared very compliant and signed the agreement without any objections.
Gong Changshun felt anxious; if this agreement was signed, his mother would truly receive nothing at all. However, Qi Hui remained unfazed. She promptly arranged for her discharge from the hospital but did not follow Gong Le's request to take Gong Changshun away from Beijing. Instead, she sought out someone else.
"Little Uncle, if you don't take care of our brother's matters, we will truly have nothing left," Qi Hui pleaded as she looked at Yuan Tian.
Then she pulled Gong Changshun closer. "This is the only bloodline your elder brother left in this world; you can't ignore it."
Gong Changshun stared at Yuan Tian in astonishment. It was actually Master Yuan Tian. His mother still called him Little Uncle. That meant he was the son of Master Yuan Tian, his elder brother! No wonder things had been so unsettled at home; it was always Master Yuan Tian who stepped in to resolve issues.
After listening to Qi Hui, Yuan Tian's expression darkened. "How could everything have been fine until now, and suddenly there's a problem?"
Qi Hui was puzzled as well. "I don't know either; everything was normal just yesterday."
After thinking for a moment, she suddenly recalled something and exclaimed through gritted teeth, "I know! It must be Ruan Fuxi!"
