Lu Manyun's expression was grim.
"Guanyan, let go of me!"
Guanyan was startled by her voice and immediately released her grip, quickly moving forward.
Xiao Xi was right; this Guanyan was indeed a ghost, only bringing harm to others.

Guan Yan looked at Lei Biao with fear in her eyes, and then, with a flash of determination, shouted, "Manyun, it was you who advised me to divorce Lei Biao! You said he’s been living off me for so long and doesn’t even know how to care for someone. That’s why I sought comfort elsewhere!"
Lei Biao, who had been chasing after Guan Yan, suddenly stopped in his tracks upon hearing her words. His eyes turned red with anger as he glared at Lu Manyun.
It was all this woman's fault!
Lu Manyun, usually composed, felt her patience wearing thin at Guan Yan's accusations. She never expected the other party to be such a person.
Before she could say anything, Lei Biao raised his knife and swung it at her.
Fueled by Guan Yan's words, he had redirected all his hatred toward Lu Manyun.
But soon enough, Lei Biao found himself frozen in shock.
His knife couldn’t reach her at all. It either missed or simply wouldn’t come down. It was as if an invisible barrier was blocking him.
Lu Manyun let out a cold laugh. "Guan Yan, don’t speak nonsense. I haven’t been in touch with you for ages; don’t drag my name into your family matters."
Then she turned to Lei Biao and said, "You better chase after Guan Yan before she gets away."
Seeing that he couldn’t do anything to her and noticing that Guan Yan had already put some distance between them, Lei Biao abandoned Lu Manyun and picked up his knife to pursue Guan Yan instead.
Guan Yan couldn’t run fast enough and was eventually caught up by him.
As she pleaded for mercy, Lei Biao didn’t say a word and stabbed her without hesitation.
A torrent of blood gushed out, staining the ground red.
Just as Lei Biao was about to strike again, the police arrived just in time to stop him.
Lu Manyun was recognized as the victim and after going through the necessary procedures, she was allowed to go home.
In the car on the way back, Lu Manyun couldn’t shake off the fear from that perilous scene she had witnessed.
Fortunately, she had the talisman given to her by Xiao Xi; otherwise, she might have foolishly put her life in danger. She needed to hurry back and wash away this misfortune.
