She paused for a moment, and Sheng Yanzhou looked at her curiously, wondering why she suddenly stopped speaking. Ruan Fuxi halted her steps, turned around, and looked up at him with a soft smile.
"So you wanted me to come out because you missed me, right, Ah Zhou?"
Her voice became gentle, especially on the last two words, which were sweet and alluring. Sheng Yanzhou's heart began to race without him realizing it. He lowered his gaze to Ruan Fuxi's face; his eyes were deep and intense as he smiled back at her.
"Yes, I missed you, Xiao Xi."
He thought about her constantly; that’s why he wanted to see her all the time. A glimmer of joy flashed in Ruan Fuxi's eyes before she playfully stood on her tiptoes and quickly kissed Sheng Yanzhou on the cheek.
"Next time you miss me, just say it directly."
She wasn't refusing to see him.
Sheng Yanzhou nodded, then wrapped his arms around her waist and pressed his lips against hers.
"Xiao Xi, next time, kiss like this."
Ruan Fuxi blinked, then closed her eyes, a deeper smile spreading across her face.
Not bad, there’s progress.
After a moment, Ruan Fuxi pushed Sheng Yanzhou away, breathing heavily, her cheeks slightly flushed as she shot him a glare.
"Progress is too fast!"
Once her breathing steadied, she recalled their earlier conversation and curiously asked, "Now that you own thirty-five percent of Shark's shares, are you really planning to acquire it?"
Sheng Yanzhou was in a good mood and ruffled her hair.
"Of course."
Ruan Fuxi was somewhat surprised.
She thought Yanzhou only wanted to give the Gong family a little scare; she didn't expect he actually had plans for an acquisition.
