When Gong Changle was young, she believed that she had to prove herself worthy enough to marry into the Gong family. Since then, she had been maintaining the image of a virtuous stepmother in front of her husband.

But Gong Changle had already guessed that he would scold him, so he quickly interjected, "Dad, did I say something wrong? My real mom has been dead for ages! And you—why didn’t you tell me about this sooner? If it weren’t for meeting my ancestors, I wouldn’t have known!"
It disgusted him to think that he had called Qi Hui this duplicitous woman "mother" so many times.

Upon hearing this, Gong Le looked at her gently. "You should reach out to the Ruan family and see what you can do. I believe Sheng Yanzhou is just trying to stand up for his girlfriend. If we can appease Ruan Fuxi, things should settle down. Before I return, I’ll have someone lift the ban on Ruan Fuxi’s livestream; you should apologize sincerely."
He was trying to think of a way to plead with Sheng Yanzhou. There was no other option; the Shark platform under his name was the most profitable. If it were to be acquired by Sheng Yanzhou, his assets would shrink by at least ten percent. Such a significant loss was something he simply could not bear.
Qi Hui nodded in understanding. "Don't worry, dear."
She then shifted the topic to Gong Changshun, who was nearby. "Don't work too hard at the company. Our son has graduated, so you can delegate some of the trivial matters to him. Don’t overexert yourself and risk your health."
Gong Le was quite satisfied with his second son. Not only did he have a good fate, but his academic qualifications were also impressive. Recently, he hadn’t made any mistakes at the company either. Gong Le nodded with appreciation. "I know."
