Gong Changle let out a chuckle.
"Am I just too excited?"
For so many years, Gong Changshun had looked down on him both openly and secretly, and he had been unhappy about it for a long time. If it weren't for the fact that Gong Changshun was his younger brother, he would have already taken action against him. Now that he knew the other party was not his biological brother, there was no reason to hold back; he would certainly drive him out of the house.
Ruan Fuxi watched his excited expression and realized he was eager to undergo a paternity test. She spoke directly, "To exchange fate, both parties must be present. And let me tell you, your fate has been swapped since childhood, so be careful."
Gong Changle understood her meaning, and his expression turned somewhat grim as he nodded. "Ancestor, thanks to you this time, I will be cautious."
His fate had been exchanged with Gong Changshun since they were young, and Gong Changle could almost immediately guess who was behind it. Although his father was distant with him, he wouldn't be so biased. Therefore, aside from that duplicitous stepmother Qi Hui, there wouldn't be anyone else involved in this fate exchange.
Ruan Fuxi nodded. "You should go get the paternity test done first; don’t let your stepmother find out."
Gong Changle felt touched and called out "Ancestor" again. Then he added her contact information and generously transferred one million to her. "Ancestor, this is a token of my gratitude. Once the fate is exchanged, I will thank you properly!"
Ruan Fuxi immediately donated one hundred thousand of it. Previously, she had donated two hundred thousand from the ten million prize she won on a survival variety show to charity, considering it a way to accumulate good deeds.
At that moment, Qi Hui looked at Ruan Fuxi's banned livestream room and felt quite pleased with herself. It served her right for spreading nonsense online; getting banned was well-deserved.
Then she felt a twinge of relief. Thankfully, the livestream room was shut down in time; it prevented Ruan Fuxi from revealing more information. Otherwise, if her husband caught wind of anything, she would be finished.
Qi Hui was able to enjoy such a good life at the Gong family, but it was backed by quite a few schemes. She couldn't let her husband find out.
At that moment, Gong Le's expression was serious as he listened to the report from his employee.
"President Gong, Chuangsheng Group has suddenly expressed interest in acquiring our company. They have already contacted the other shareholders," the employee reported, trembling slightly.
Gong Le's face darkened. It was Shen Yanzhou who had made the move.
"Yes, President Gong," the employee nodded nervously.
Gong Le snorted coldly. Shen Yanzhou was being excessively aggressive, pursuing this matter so relentlessly. He had just shut down his girlfriend's livestream, and now he wanted to acquire his company.
If Gong Le thought that Shen Yanzhou wasn't doing this for Ruan Fuxi's sake, he wouldn't believe it. Shen Yanzhou was willing to make such a significant move for her; it seemed he had underestimated him and shouldn't have held onto any false hopes.
The reason Gong Le decided to shut down Ruan Fuxi's livestream was partly a gamble—he believed Shen Yanzhou wouldn't take such a trivial matter too seriously. He truly didn't want Ruan Fuxi's affairs to disturb his family’s peace.
Chang Le had always thought Qi Hui was his biological mother until Ruan Fuxi revealed the truth. For the sake of family harmony, he chose to shut down the livestream.
Now it seemed he had made a wrong decision.
How many shares did Shen Yanzhou hold now? Gong Changle hoped the number wasn't too large; otherwise, his company would be in real danger.
"Thirty percent," came the reply.
Upon hearing this, Gong Changle's expression grew even darker.
"Immediately notify everyone and call an emergency board meeting! We can't afford to lose any more shares!" he ordered. "Otherwise, I'm afraid our company will soon belong to Shen Yanzhou."
Gong Changle sighed; he had made a wrong decision and now didn’t know how to make amends.
I fear that even if the restrictions are lifted, it will be too late for Ruan Fuxi's livestream room.
