Gong Le replied, "You’re the one who got it banned in the first place. Just stay in the hospital and focus on your recovery." He then hung up.
Gong Changle realized that Qi Hui might not truly care for him; it was only when he saw the livestream that he became aware of this possibility. But as his father, he felt a sense of helplessness—his eldest son was destined to be a lone star, and he couldn’t get too close without bringing misfortune upon himself.
Regarding what Ruan Fuxi had predicted in the livestream about Gong Changle dying tragically beside a trash can at twenty, Gong Le felt a pang of sorrow. He thought that even if Qi Hui didn’t genuinely care for his eldest son, he would at least leave him some inheritance so that he could live comfortably and not end up on the streets.
After being hung up on, Gong Changle was stunned. How could his father not care about something so important? Did he really not love him at all?
Pain and grievance flickered in Gong Changle’s eyes, but he quickly pulled himself together. He rolled off the bed in determination. "Doctor, I want to be discharged!"
He yanked out the IV needle and immediately began processing his discharge paperwork. He needed to find his ancestor himself! Listening to the chaos in the livestream room, Gong Changle felt a surge of hope—maybe he didn’t have to die after all; he believed there was still a chance for him to turn things around.
After leaving the hospital, Gong Changle inquired with friends and immediately prepared to head to the Ruan family. Learning from the experience of the previous day, he decided not to drive himself this time and hailed a taxi.

The driver got out to check and found a hole in the back of the vehicle. He apologized to Gong Changle and said, "You might want to switch cars; this one can't be driven anymore." He then had to stay behind to handle the traffic incident.
Gong Changle couldn't help but wonder: was he really this unlucky?
Gritting his teeth, he hailed another taxi. However, the second and third cars he took all met with accidents as well. Holding his head, which was still dazed from the impact, Gong Changle finally arrived at the Ruan family's doorstep in his fourth vehicle.
Standing at the entrance of the Ruan family home, he nearly burst into tears. "Ancestors, open the door! I need help!"
