Although she had known since yesterday that Ruan Fuxi would personally come to the set to help her deal with the ghost by her side, she had kept her heart in suspense until she saw the person. Now that she had finally laid eyes on Ruan Fuxi, her heart felt at ease.
If it weren't for the many people watching and the need to maintain her image, Lin Rou would have rushed over in excitement.
Ruan Fuxi took a couple of steps forward and greeted her with a smile. "Hello, Lin Yinghou."
Lin Rou beamed as she led her into her room, away from the prying eyes of those around them. "Xiao Xi, let’s skip the formalities. I’m about to be scared to death."
She hadn’t slept well at all last night. The constant fear that the ghost might come after her kept her on edge. She and her two assistants had to check on the wig buried under the tree every few minutes, worried that the soil hadn’t been packed down properly and might reveal it.
Seeing the dark circles under Lin Rou's eyes and her weary expression, Ruan Fuxi offered some comfort. "Don't worry, I’ll take care of it today before I leave."
Upon hearing her words, Lin Rou smiled. "Thank goodness you’re here, Xiao Xi. As long as you’re involved, I know everything will be fine."
As a fan of Ruan Fuxi, she had complete confidence in her abilities. Her performance in the survival variety show "Island King" had been nothing short of spectacular! It was truly astonishing! Whether it was commanding a horde of snakes or riding a shark as if she were the ocean's ruler, or even predicting every outcome accurately—Lin Rou was deeply impressed.
She firmly believed that as long as Ruan Fuxi was present, this matter would definitely be resolved without issue.
Ruan Fuxi chuckled softly. "Could we clear the set for a moment? The scene later might be a bit frightening."
Lin Rou immediately replied, "No problem! I’ll go talk to the director."
Though every moment of delay cost the production money, given Lin Rou's current status, the director would certainly grant her this favor.
Moreover, although Lin Rou and the others did not widely publicize the haunting, in such a small place as the film crew's location, any little disturbance would quickly spread throughout the entire team. It was likely that many people already knew about Lin Rou encountering a ghost and inviting a master to resolve the issue.
After about ten minutes, Lin Rou walked over.
"Xiao Xi, it's been resolved."
Aside from their small group, no one else would come this way.
Ruan Fu Xi nodded and then asked, "Aren't you all leaving?"
Lin Rou hesitated, fear creeping in. "Is it dangerous?"
Ruan Fu Xi replied, "There won't be any danger; it's just that the scene might be a bit frightening. I'm afraid you might have nightmares after seeing it."
Although Lin Rou was scared of ghosts, she had a personality that enjoyed excitement. Upon hearing there was no danger, she hesitated for a moment before saying, "It's fine, Xiao Xi. I'm very brave."
Ruan Fu Xi then looked at the other two assistants beside her. They shook their heads as well. They were also curious and wanted to stay and see something new.
Ruan Fu Xi raised an eyebrow. "Alright, since you’re not scared, then do as you wish."
She then walked over to the tree where the wig was buried. Lin Rou guessed she was going to dig it out and was about to ask if they needed a shovel when she saw Ruan Fu Xi extend her palm. The soil at the base of the tree began to part on its own, revealing the wig beneath.
Before they could praise Ruan Fu Xi for her abilities, Lin Rou and the others widened their eyes in shock. The wig actually moved on its own!
It even started to fly!
Lin Rou instinctively took a few steps back. Unsure if it was just her imagination, she noticed that the color of the wig seemed to change. Thinking it was just her tired eyes, she closed them for a moment. When she opened them again, she saw that the long black wig had completely transformed into a vibrant red!
