Facing her reminder, Su Shi nodded in agreement to each point. After a moment, feeling a bit embarrassed, he said, "Fu Xi, I will still need your help with this matter. Once I get the approval and communicate with the other departments, I'll let you know."
They had to follow the rules, reporting everything step by step.
Ruan Fu Xi nodded readily. "Alright, just tell me when you're ready."
With that, she left Su Shi to continue his work while she and Sheng Yan Zhou stepped out first.
After walking a few steps, Sheng Yan Zhou's assistant was already waiting outside with the car.
"Xiao Xi, I'll take you home," Sheng Yan Zhou said. Although he wanted to spend more time with her, he understood that she needed to rest well now.
Ruan Fu Xi nodded and replied sweetly, "Okay."
She then closed her eyes for a brief nap.
Listening to her voice, Sheng Yan Zhou's gaze softened with affection.
The car stopped at the Ruan family’s entrance. Sheng Yan Zhou felt a twinge of reluctance but still said, "Xiao Xi, we're here."
He opened the car door for her. After Ruan Fu Xi got out and noticed the reluctant look in his eyes, a mischievous thought crossed her mind. She turned around, stood on her tiptoes, and quickly planted a kiss on Sheng Yan Zhou's cheek.
Now that they were a couple, it was perfectly fine to kiss.
Sheng Yan Zhou felt the softness on his face and was momentarily stunned. Then his expression shifted to one of danger and intensity.
He reached out and grabbed Ruan Fu Xi's wrist as she tried to slip away, his voice low and husky. "Xiao Xi, you—"
At that moment, Ruan Huai walked out and his gaze fell on Sheng Yan Zhou's hand holding Ruan Fu Xi.
Though he didn’t say anything, the displeasure was unmistakably clear in his demeanor.
Previously, Ruan Huai regarded Sheng Yanzhou as an excellent and admirable business partner. Now, however, he could only scoff at the thought of someone who had taken his sister away.
Seeing Ruan Huai's helplessness, Sheng Yanzhou could only regretfully suppress his feelings and gently ruffled Ruan Fuxi's hair.
"Xiao Xi, I'm leaving now," he said.
Ruan Fuxi stifled a giggle. "Okay."
After Sheng Yanzhou left, Ruan Huai's voice rang out, dripping with sarcasm. "The car's already gone, and you still can't let go?"
Ruan Fuxi turned around and playfully pouted. "What are you talking about, Brother? We're just..."
Ruan Huai had specifically come out to pick her up.
Once they reached her room, Ruan Fuxi asked Guigui, "Has anyone strange come to the Ruan family recently? Or is someone trying to target Mom and Dad?"
The reason she had decided to leave Guigui at the Ruan family before participating in the variety show was due to a previous incident where their family had been caught in a feng shui trap. However, she still hadn't figured out who was behind it.
With Guigui staying at the Ruan family, she felt a bit more at ease.
Guigui replied, "No, everything seems normal."
Ruan Fuxi pondered for a moment. She didn't believe that the person who set up the feng shui trap did so without intent. But now that the culprit wasn't showing themselves, she had no idea where to find them and could only continue waiting.
As long as the person behind it remained hidden, she would have the patience to wait.
