Ruan Fuxi instinctively sensed that something was amiss; this place might be more than just a site of resentment from the souls of those who had suffered and died here. She walked around the market square a few times, while Su Shi continued to speak.

After pondering for a while, Su Shi looked hopefully at Ruan Fuxi. She listened to him while walking along the road, then suddenly slowed her pace and asked, "Is this road newly constructed?"
Su Shi nodded. "Yes, it was just completed not long ago. A new subway line was planned here, so they specifically had the construction team repair the road."
After saying that, he asked, "What's wrong with this road?"
Ruan Fuxi felt the increasingly dense malevolent energy in this area and replied with a serious expression, "I suspect that the recent incidents at this market square are closely related to this newly constructed road."
Su Shi looked puzzled.

"What!" Su Shi's expression changed dramatically.
Ruan Fuxi continued, "To completely resolve the issues in this area, we need to dig up this section of the road and take a look." Without digging to see what's underneath, she wouldn't be able to do anything.
Su Shi's expression turned serious as well. Although he was responsible for addressing the problems at the Caishikou market, he would need to apply for permission from higher-ups to dig up the road and coordinate with other departments. It wasn't solely his decision to make.
Thinking of this, Su Shi said, "Fuxi, I understand. I'll report this immediately. Once I get approval to dig up the road, I'll contact you right away."
Ruan Fuxi nodded and then placed a talisman under one of the bricks. "This talisman will last for seven days. You need to get approval within that time frame. Also, you can talk to the nearby residents and those who worked on this section of the road to gather any relevant information about what happened during the repairs."
