Ruan Xun felt a sense of impatience towards the overly talkative guest, who seemed to be struggling to understand the situation. He raised an eyebrow and asked, "Did you need something from me?"
The two of them rarely exchanged more than a few words, and since his partner wasn't there, he couldn't believe Meng Zhan wasn't trying to stir things up. Meng Zhan hesitated in place when he heard Han Fei'er’s voice nearby. "Ruan Jie wants you over here, handsome Lu Xun," she called out, then shot a wary glance at Meng Zhan. Furrowing her brow, she asked, "What did you just say to Brother Yue and Lu Xun?"
Who knew if he was secretly plotting something?
Seeing Han Fei'er, Meng Zhan sighed helplessly. "Fei'er, why are you being so distant with me? I was just saying hello."
Without looking back at him, Han Fei'er huffed lightly and walked away. A flicker of annoyance crossed Meng Zhan's eyes; now that all the guests had gathered, he had no choice but to follow along.
In the broadcast room, Meng Zhan's fans felt indignant on his behalf.
"Isn't Han Fei'er being a bit too arrogant? Every time she looks at Meng Zhan, it's like she's looking down on him."
"Does she think she's some big star? In reality, she's just an actress. Meng Zhan is a real man; who doesn’t feel pumped after watching his adventure videos?"
At that moment, some netizens chimed in.
"What real man? The one who always ends up at the bottom of the scoreboards during missions?"
"Seriously, don’t you think Meng Zhan's earlier approach to Yue Hongjie and Lu Xun seemed a bit out of place? It looked like he had an agenda."

Ruan Xun walked over to Ruan Fuxi's side and quietly muttered to her, "Meng Zhan is really annoying."
Ruan Fuxi raised an eyebrow as she watched Meng Zhan approaching from a distance.
When Meng Zhan met Ruan Fuxi's gaze, his heart skipped a beat; he had a feeling that something unpleasant was about to happen.
Ruan Fuxi looked at him and asked, "What were you talking about with Xiao Xun and the others just now? Why don’t you share it with us too?"
Meng Zhan chuckled awkwardly and averted his eyes, trying to brush it off. "Oh, it was nothing, just exchanged some greetings."
At that moment, Yue Hongjie timely added, "Oh, Meng Zhan just told me he has a project he wants to invest in after the show ends. He also mentioned wanting to introduce it to me, so I guess he’s looking for Lu Xun for the same reason."
Upon hearing this, Meng Zhan's expression shifted slightly. He wasn't sure if Yue Hongjie was intentionally saying this in front of Ruan Fuxi.
He forced a smile, trying to downplay the situation. "It’s nothing much; we just happened to mention it in passing."
