Wang Cheng was momentarily stunned by her words, quickly suppressing his excitement for fear of misunderstanding.
"Xiao Xi, what did you just say?"
Ruan Fu Xi patiently repeated, "I said you can hear the good news you want right now. Your wife is pregnant."
Wang Cheng was taken aback by this revelation, and he immediately sought confirmation. "Xiao Xi, you’re not joking with me, are you?"
Ruan Fu Xi replied, "You’ll find out soon enough. Answer the phone."
Wang Cheng was puzzled. "Phone? What phone?"
Just as he was about to ask further, his phone rang, the sound echoing through the livestream.
"Wow, Sister Ruan can predict this! I bet that’s Director Wang’s wife calling," one viewer commented.
"Hehe, I’m guessing she’s going to tell him she’s pregnant," another chimed in.
"Is this for real? What a coincidence!" someone else exclaimed.
Hearing the ringtone, a thought surged through Wang Cheng's mind that filled him with excitement. He quickly answered the call, so eager that he accidentally put it on speakerphone.
As soon as the call connected, a joyful female voice burst through: "Old Wang, I’m pregnant! We’re having a baby!"
Upon hearing that voice on speaker, Wang Cheng’s face flushed with exhilaration. He hastily turned off the speaker and moved aside to properly check on his wife's condition.
However, in that fleeting moment as he turned away, Ruan Fu Xi noticed a change in his aura. The loss of a child—this was not a good sign at all.
Her expression turned serious as she called out to Wang Cheng, saying:
"Director, tell your wife not to open the door."
At that moment, Wang Cheng was on the phone, hearing a knocking sound from the other end. His wife said, "Old Wang, let me grab the takeout first and then I'll talk to you."
Seeing Ruan Fuxi's serious expression, Wang Cheng instinctively shouted, "Wife, don’t open the door!"

Strangely enough, his wife also referred to Ruan Fuxi as Ruan Jie like the netizens did. Was she a fan of Xiao Xi?
"Alright, since it’s Ruan Jie who said it, then I won’t open the door."
She then shouted towards the door, "Just leave the takeout at the door; I’ll get it later."
The knocking continued.
"You should still open the door to check if the food spilled. If it did, I can compensate you," Wang Cheng heard his wife mumble.
"This delivery person really doesn’t understand; I told him to leave it at the door. Why do I have to keep repeating myself?"
