After the interaction ended, Ruan Fuxi began to calculate the second hexagram of the day. However, this meant she could only read fortunes for those present. The crowd was eager, each person raising their hands and jumping up:
"Choose me, Sister Ruan!"
Ruan Fuxi's gaze landed on a gentle-looking lady.
"This one," she decided.
The chosen woman, upon realizing she had been selected, appeared somewhat excited as she approached Ruan Fuxi. She was one of the program's planners, named Yuan Hua, and she was thirty years old.
Yuan Hua understood that there was a rule requiring her to pay a fee for the fortune-telling, but she didn’t have anything valuable on her. Thus, she asked, "Can I transfer the fee to the director and have him send it to your account?"
Ruan Fuxi nodded. "That works."
Once the fee was settled, Yuan Hua sat down in front of Ruan Fuxi.
"What would you like to know?"
Yuan Hua thought about her mischievous son, a hint of worry crossing her face. She wondered if it was due to her child's rebellious phase; lately, he had been opposing her at every turn and cursing, completely changing his demeanor.
"Xiao Xi, can you help me read about my family?"
Ruan Fuxi observed her features and then said, "You had a good childhood; your parents doted on you. You got married at twenty-one and had a daughter at twenty-two."
Before Ruan Fuxi could finish her sentence, Yuan Hua hesitated and interrupted her.
"Xiao Xi, what you said so far is correct, but I actually had a son, not a daughter."
Ruan Fuxi wasn’t offended by the interruption; she simply chuckled lightly as she looked at her.
Meanwhile, viewers in the broadcast room were puzzled.
"Eh? Could it be that Sister Ruan made a mistake?"
"There's no way Sister Ruan could be wrong; I unconditionally stand by her side."
"But this sister insists that she gave birth to a son. Would a mother really get the gender of her own child wrong?"
Yuan Hua seemed to ponder something for a moment before firmly stating, "Xiao Xi, I am certain that I only have one son, without a doubt."
Ruan Fu Xi replied, "Your fertility indicators show that you only have one daughter. I can't be mistaken. The child you are raising is indeed a boy. Are you sure he is the one you gave birth to?"
"What? Does Sister Ruan mean to say that her daughter was swapped at birth? Is the son she is raising not hers?"
"Could it be that the nurse made a mistake?"
Yuan Hua's expression began to waver slightly. Just then, Ruan Fu Xi's voice continued, "You are currently separated from your daughter. If you don't find her soon and instead keep this boy by your side, your later years will be very unhappy."
If it were anyone else giving her a fortune, they wouldn't speak so directly.
Ruan Fu Xi had no reservations and spoke clearly. Whether the other party listened or not was none of her concern.
Upon hearing this, Yuan Hua initially thought Ruan Fu Xi had made an error. However, something in her heart began to feel off. Given that Ruan Fu Xi had always been accurate in her readings, it seemed unlikely that she would make a mistake with her.
After mulling it over for a moment, Yuan Hua asked Ruan Fu Xi, "Xiao Xi, can you take a look at my husband and my son's features?"
Ruan Fu Xi replied, "Sure."
Yuan Hua then pulled out photos of her husband and son. After examining them, Ruan Fu Xi anxiously asked, "Xiao Xi, did you see anything?"
Ruan Fu Xi nodded. "This boy is not your biological child; he is your husband's biological child."
