The safety officer saw the Taipan snake slithering directly toward him, and his expression changed drastically as he immediately turned to run. He knew all too well the potency of this snake's venom. If bitten, there was almost no hope of survival.
The Taipan raised its head, weaving through the grass with a hissing sound, moving at an incredible speed. The safety officer's face was pale with fear as he glanced at Ruan Fuxi, who stood nearby with her arms crossed and an intrigued expression on her face. After a moment of contemplation, he quickly made a wide detour and ran toward her.
"Was that snake just rubbing against Sister Ruan? It looks so docile."
"I think I might be seeing things; I actually find this land's most venomous snake cute."
"Is Sister Ruan just that lucky? The snake doesn’t bite her but is instead chasing after the safety officer from the production team."
"Wait a minute, have you noticed something strange? Isn’t this safety officer leading the snake toward Sister Ruan?"
"What the hell, is he an idiot?"
At that moment, Ruan Fuxi also noticed the safety officer's actions. She raised an eyebrow but remained standing still. The safety officer saw that he was only a dozen meters away from Ruan Fuxi and felt a surge of relief, quickening his pace. But then he realized something was wrong; a look of shock appeared on his face as he tried to move forward but found himself unable to take another step.
He could either stay put or run back. Cold sweat began to pour down his face as he met Ruan Fuxi's gaze, which held a hint of cold amusement. He had been blinded by promises of reward from others, forgetting that Ruan Fuxi was a master of profound metaphysics. How could someone like him think he could outsmart her?
With the Taipan snake pursuing him from behind, he dared not stop or continue running toward Ruan Fuxi. The safety officer, named Gao Biao, was now desperately fleeing from the snake while regretting his earlier choices. He shouldn’t have done something harmful for money; he truly regretted it.
He had only been married for two years, and his son was still under one year old. He didn’t want to die from snake venom on this island. Sweat streamed down Gao Biao’s face as he ran, contemplating how he could survive this encounter with the snake.
The director was sweating nervously backstage and immediately issued a broadcast:
"An unexpected situation has arisen on the island. Guests, please be aware of any venomous snakes around you. For safety reasons, we recommend returning as soon as possible."
The other groups of guests looked around but saw no snakes.
Sheng Yanzhou furrowed his brow and asked a nearby safety officer, "There are no snakes here. Does this announcement mean that a guest has encountered a venomous snake?"
Standing beside him, Shi Lili's face briefly flashed with delight. It must be Ruan Fuxi! She hoped she had been bitten by a snake.
Shi Lili felt quite pleased with herself; the snake had been her careful selection. If Ruan Fuxi got bitten and didn’t receive the antivenom in time, she would surely die.
They were on an island, and even if the production team had prepared other antivenoms, they certainly wouldn’t have any for the Taipan snake. After all, Taipan snakes were not native to this island, so the production team wouldn't have stocked up on them.
If they had to transport her to the nearest hospital with antivenom, it would take at least several hours, and even if she received the antivenom then, it would likely be too late.
Shi Lili believed her plan was foolproof.
At that moment, the safety officer hesitated for a moment before saying to Sheng Yanzhou, "There has indeed been a report of a venomous snake near one of the guests. Everyone should be cautious."
