"Where's Xiao Xi? Is she in danger?"
Ruan Xun furrowed his brows. "Aren't you going to say anything?"
How annoying.
However, Ruan Xun didn't really think his sister would be in danger. After all, she was so capable. If she couldn't handle any danger, then everyone on this island would likely be doomed as well.
Shi Lili said, "I'm just worried about Xiao Xi; I mean no harm."
Meng Zhan saw this as his moment to step in. He immediately took a step forward and addressed Ruan Xun, "We should be helping each other right now. Miss Shi is just being kind; please don't misunderstand."
He was defending Shi Lili.
Han Fei'er heard him speak and glanced at Meng Zhan, then silently rolled her eyes and turned away. Had she been blind yesterday? How could she have thought Meng Zhan was a decent person? Luckily, she had asked Xiao Xi to read her fortune and quickly cured her eye ailment.
Ruan Xun was about to say something when they heard Ruan Fu Xi's voice from a distance.
"What are you all talking about?"
She was holding a woven basket filled with seafood she had gathered.
Sheng Yanzhou had maintained a cold demeanor until he saw Ruan Fu Xi appear; his expression softened immediately. He stepped forward to take the basket from her hands.
"Why are you alone? I should come next time."
Ruan Fu Xi smiled. "No, it wasn't any trouble."
She had only practiced for a while during the rise of the purple aura and then picked up these seafood along the beach.
Ruan Xun lagged a step behind, watching helplessly as Sheng Yanzhou took the bucket from his sister's hands. He stepped forward to take a look, and then was astonished.
So much.
All of this was gathered by his sister alone; it must have been exhausting for her. Ruan Xun felt regretful that he hadn’t woken up earlier.
Ruan Fuxi smiled but hadn’t spoken yet when Shi Lili walked over, frowning at the seafood in the woven bucket.
"Xiao Xi, isn’t this a bit too little? It’s not enough for us to eat."
Ruan Fuxi curled her lips and chuckled lightly.
"Who said I was going to share it with you? If you want to eat, go catch your own from the sea."
Did she seem like such a kind-hearted person? Generous enough to share her hard-earned seafood?
Then Ruan Fuxi turned to Han Feier.
"You gave me the golden egg to make me work for a day, so today I can prepare three meals for you. Do you want to eat with us?"
Han Feier had been worried about what she could eat in the morning, and upon hearing Ruan Fuxi's words, her eyes lit up with excitement.
"Yes!"
She then walked up to Ruan Fuxi with a beaming smile.
"Xiao Xi, let me cook! I’m great in the kitchen."
"Oh my, Xiao Xi is such a good person!"
Otherwise, she might have gone hungry that morning.
Ruan Fuxi replied, "Sure, then all this seafood is yours to handle. I have all the seasonings here."
Han Feier patted her chest confidently.
"Xiao Xi, just leave it to me! I’ll make it delicious!"
