Han Fei'er wore a look of curiosity and excitement on her face; she had been wanting to ask this for a long time. After all, this was a real fortune-telling master, and she didn't want to miss such a good opportunity. Moreover, she genuinely wanted to know about her romantic prospects.
Despite being a rising star in the entertainment industry, she secretly yearned for love. She hoped to get married within two years and have two children. Han Fei'er had a special fondness for kids. So when she learned that Ruan Fuxi could tell fortunes, she couldn't help but ask.
Ruan Fuxi looked at her with an expectant gaze and nodded. "I can tell your fortune, but you know I require a fee for my services. It's the rule."
Upon hearing this, Han Fei'er felt a bit troubled. It wasn't that she wanted to get a free reading; it was just that she was currently on a deserted island participating in a show and had nothing with her. Even the supplies she had painstakingly prepared had been taken by the production team.
After thinking it over, she couldn't come up with anything to offer as payment, so she sighed. "I don’t have any money right now. I’ll have to wait until the show ends before I can come back to you for a reading."
Meng Zhan, wanting to get closer to Han Fei'er, noticed her disappointment and smiled. "Can we trade something else? I brought some supplies."
Ruan Fuxi looked at him with an amused expression. "You can use items as payment, but only if they are given by someone else. If you give me something, then I can only read your fortune in return. So, do you want that?"
Meng Zhan met her gaze and felt as though she could see right through him. All his glitz and glamour were carefully crafted images; although he wasn't sure how accurate Ruan Fuxi's fortune-telling was, he didn't want to take that risk.
With a regretful smile, he turned to Han Fei'er. "It seems I can't be of any help."
Han Fei'er immediately replied, "It's okay! I should have thought this through better. Thank you anyway!" She smiled back at Meng Zhan.
Seeing this, Shili Li felt it was a good opportunity to sow discord between Han Fei'er and Ruan Fuxi.
She immediately put on a disapproving expression and said, "Xiao Xi, Fei'er is in a special situation right now. Can't you make an exception and give her a reading? After the show ends, she will definitely make up for the fee. We're all friends here."
Before Ruan Fuxi could respond, Han Fei'er was already rubbing her arms, feeling a chill. "You suddenly calling me Fei'er feels really awkward. Besides, even if I'm an outsider, I know that fortune-telling requires a fee. You can't just give it away for free; don't try to guilt-trip me."
A hint of amusement flashed in Ruan Fuxi's eyes as she looked at Han Fei'er and thought for a moment. "How about this? You can trade one day's worth of work for the reading. Do you want to do it?"
Han Fei'er was a bit curious. "One day's work? What do I need to do?"
Ruan Fuxi smiled slightly. "Work."
Hearing that, Han Fei'er hesitated for a moment but then decided, "I'll do it. It's just one day's work, right? No problem!"
She was still more curious about whether her romantic prospects would appear.
Ruan Fuxi nodded. "So you want to know about your love life?"
Han Fei'er's eyes lit up. "Exactly! Xiao Xi, you're amazing! You guessed that right."
