The two of them sat in the back seat, lowering the partition to isolate themselves from the front. Ruan Fuxi took out the box that Old Master Sheng had given her.
"Yan Zhou, what do you think Uncle Sheng sent me?"
"I can't guess. Open it and see."
Ruan Fuxi pondered for a moment, then placed her turtle plush on Sheng Yan Zhou's lap before opening the box.

The reason Ruan Fuxi was so thrilled was that the Star Disc was engraved with the positions of the eighteen constellations. Not only could it be used for divination, but it could also connect with the Heavenly Path and provide guidance from it.
Ruan Fuxi happened to be in need of such a magical tool. In her opinion, if it were remade with good materials, this Star Disc could become a spiritual artifact, or even an immortal tool.
Seeing her delight, Sheng Yan Zhou introduced it further: "This is the oldest collection of the Sheng family. Our ancestral teachings say it cannot be sold; it must wait for someone fated to have it. It seems that you, little Xi, are that destined person."
Ruan Fuxi was a bit curious: "But how do you know who is truly fated? What if I'm not?"
Sheng Yan Zhou chuckled softly, his laughter resonating in the back seat like the rich aroma of fine wine.

"Then I’ll trouble you to take care of my matters."
At that moment, Sheng Yan Zhou's voice sounded clear and mellow like wine, filled with warmth and laughter.
Ruan Fuxi couldn't help but let her thoughts wander a bit. Such a pleasant voice would surely sound even better when it was low and breathy. It reminded her of the times in the cultivation world when two people would cultivate together.

Beside her, Sheng Yanzhou felt a bit aggrieved for some reason; it seemed that Xiaoxi would rather scroll through videos than talk to him. Did she find him too boring? He pretended to casually glance at the screen of Ruan Fuxi's phone, noticing the videos featuring well-built fitness enthusiasts.
