"Sister, you don't need to buy tickets for my concert anymore; I've got it covered," said Ruan Anmu with a smile.
Ruan Fuxi nodded in agreement. "Great! Just remember to arrange our family's seats together."
The next day, Ruan Fuxi took her pet turtle to the garden. She sat in the pavilion, enjoying the cool breeze while searching for nearby pharmacies on her phone. She was preparing to concoct a Peiyuan Pill.
After browsing for a while, Ruan Fuxi decided to visit a pharmacy in person to inquire about the herbs she needed. It wasn't enough just to have the herbs; they had to be of a certain age, or they would be useless.
With this thought in mind, she headed out. She practically ran through several of the largest traditional Chinese medicine shops in Beijing and finally managed to gather most of the herbs she required. However, she was still short a few: thirty-year-old Rehmannia, fifty-year-old Angelica, and the best He Shou Wu should be at least one hundred and twenty years old; if not, then one hundred would suffice.
Ruan Fuxi pondered that if she couldn't find them in stores, she would have to dig them up herself in the deep mountains and forests. Just as she was thinking this, her phone vibrated for a moment. She opened it to find a message from her online dating group.
Yun Ni Bobo had tagged her in the chat.
"Hey, it seems like you and Zhou didn't participate in the last game mission together. And what about the phone call mission from a couple of days ago? Do you think you two aren't suitable to continue developing your relationship? If that's the case, then other guys in our group might have a chance with you, Tides."
Yun Ni Bobo had recently been developing well with Yuan Shan. In her eyes, Yuan Shan had high gaming skills, a pleasant voice, and was willing to spend money. The fact that Tides hadn't provided any updates on her mission progress in the group meant she had likely given up on pursuing him.
Ruan Fuxi looked at the message and wondered what Yun Ni Bobo was thinking. Why was she so fixated on her?
Seeing Yun Ni Bobo's message prompted other members of the group to start asking questions as well.
"Miss, I've wanted to add you since you joined the group! Unfortunately, you were already busy with Zhou back then. Can I have a chance now?"
"Me too! I want to add her as well! Don’t leave me out!"
Yun Ni Bobo hadn't expected that mentioning Tides would make all the men in the group so lively; this was not what she wanted at all. With a cold expression, she typed:
"All scumbags and frauds should stay away from our Miss Tides! Otherwise, be careful; she might just knock you down with one punch, just like before with Angelica."
A woman who could beat up big men until they were bruised and battered must be full of muscles—what's there to like about that?
Yun Ni Bobo's message silenced the group for a moment, but ultimately it was Ruan Fuxi's charm that kept everyone engaged.
"I'm quite tough, Missy, and I'm not a scumbag."
With a promise of no financial burden, the group was lively, and fearing they might upset their revered member, Ruan Fuxi, the moderator quickly intervened.
"Miss Tides wants to know who is her willing participant; please refrain from bothering her too much," they announced, followed by the release of new tasks.
"The latest mission has arrived: it involves two people working together. The female participant must express a desire for a gift from the male participant. If she is satisfied with the gift, she must return the favor with another gift or agree to one request. Both parties must consent to either the gift or the request. All members are included."
Seeing this, Yumi Bobo innocently tagged Yuanshan in the group chat.
"It’s time to test our compatibility! Guess what gift I want."
Yuanshan immediately responded with a playful tone.
"I guess it’s this one."
He then sent a photo of a plush toy.
"How about it? Did I guess right?" he added.
Yumi Bobo's eyes widened in innocent surprise and excitement.
"Wow, how did you know I wanted this? We are so in sync!"
She followed up with a cute cat emoji.
Ruan Fuxi watched the exchange unfold and felt a wave of nausea rise within her as she observed the antics of the others in the group.
