Ruan Xun had just experienced danger on stage, yet he appeared to be in good spirits.
Lu Manyun looked him up and down. "Xiao Xun, are you hurt?"
Ruan Xun shook his head, allowing her to inspect him. "Mom, I'm fine. Why didn't you tell me you were coming to see my concert?"
Lu Manyun feigned anger. "This is your first solo concert; of course, we had to come and witness it."
Seeing her youngest son shining brightly on stage, adored by countless fans, Lu Manyun accepted his decision to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.
"Yes, you’ve just turned eighteen, but you still can’t neglect your studies, you know?"
With a smile in his eyes, Ruan Xun bent down and gently hugged Lu Manyun. "I know, Mom. Thank you for coming."
Today was not only his first personal concert but also an important day marked by the understanding and respect of his family as he embarked on his dream. It was also a day when he felt protected by his sister, whom he thought disliked him.
He would remember this day.
Ruan Xun took a couple of steps forward and asked Ruan Huai, "Brother, what were you talking about just now?"
Ruan Huai replied, "I think your current entertainment company isn’t good enough. I want to help you switch to another one. What do you think?"
Ruan Xun wasn’t fond of his current company either; they often restricted him from engaging with fans and frequently made him mentor newcomers. Just a couple of days ago, they had assigned him a sixteen-year-old junior to take care of, which annoyed him.
Moreover, the company’s business capabilities were lacking; they hadn’t provided him with any substantial opportunities so far. With the chaotic relationships at the top and numerous disorganized social gatherings, Ruan Xun had long wanted to sign with a different company.
"Brother, I want to switch too. Now that I have some fame, they probably won’t let me go easily, and there’s also a hefty termination fee."
Ruan Huai patted his shoulder reassuringly. "Don’t worry; as long as you want to switch, I’ll take care of it."
Ruan Xun nodded and added, "If I leave, I want to take my current manager with me."
The company might not be great, but the manager was good.
Ruan Huai nodded in agreement. "You had a tiring concert today. It's not easy to finally have some time at home, so you should rest early."
Ruan Xun nodded in response. As he passed by Ruan Fuxi and Ruan Anmu, he hesitated for a moment, his expression conflicted. How should he address his two sisters?
After a brief pause, Ruan Xun called out, "Sister Fuxi, Sister Anmu."
As for the incident where Ruan Fuxi had torn up his concert ticket, Ruan Xun decided to be magnanimous and forgive her.
Hearing him finally acknowledge her as his sister, a glimmer of joy flashed in Ruan Fuxi's eyes. "You performed really well today; your singing was beautiful."
Upon hearing her praise, Ruan Xun's eyes sparkled like a big puppy's.
Ruan Anmu chimed in, "Xun has so many fans! You were so handsome on stage!" She had been waving her light stick almost non-stop while sitting in the audience.
"Cheering for my brother!"
A smile spread across Ruan Xun's face. He knew that he would create even better music in the future and hold more grand concerts.
