Given Fu Sihan's level of disdain for her, it was safe to say that he wouldn't even want to be within three miles of her, let alone be friends. Ruan Fuxi opened the chat window with Fu Sihan, feeling a mix of curiosity and trepidation.
She recalled how her friend had once raved about Fu Sihan on her phone, and now, looking at this chat interface, she felt a sense of unease. It was even more awkward since Fu Sihan had deleted her friend's contact, erasing all their previous conversations.
Just then, a message from Fu Sihan popped up.
"Miss Ruan, a director would like to invite you to participate as a guest on a survival reality show set on a deserted island. I’ll send you the relevant information."
Ruan Fuxi observed his formal tone and couldn't help but marvel at the transformation. It was hard to believe he had once held such contempt for her friend; he truly embodied the qualities of a male lead in a novel.
However, as she read his message, she felt puzzled. A survival reality show? What was that all about? She wasn't particularly interested in such things. All she wanted was to delve into metaphysics and enjoy a carefree life filled with wealth.
"I'm not interested at the moment, thank you," she replied, adding, "To avoid any misunderstandings, please delete my contact."
There was no need for her to keep his contact information if he was the male lead and her friend was the female lead.
When Fu Sihan saw her response, he noticed a bright red exclamation mark indicating that she had deleted him. A flicker of confusion crossed his eyes. Did Ruan Fuxi have an issue with him? He hadn't even begun to introduce the show before being cut off.
Was it because Ruan Fuxi held some resentment toward him?
Recalling Director Wang Cheng's strong insistence on this matter, Fu Sihan decided he should make another attempt. He would send the information to Ruan Fuxi later so she could understand it in detail. If he didn’t interact with her directly, he figured she might be patient enough to take a look.
Ruan Fuxi put away her phone and caught her brother's gaze, which he hadn't yet retracted.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" she asked.
Ruan Huai felt a mix of emotions. Could he say that he was worried his sister hadn't moved on from Fu Sichan?
"Xiao Xi, do you really not like Fu Sichan anymore?"
Ruan Fuxi thought her brother was pondering something serious, but it turned out to be this. The obsession with men had left a significant shadow over her family.
Ruan Fuxi quickly replied, "Brother, don't worry. I have no feelings for him at all. I mean it."
Seeing her avoid men like they were poison, Ruan Huai pondered for a moment before saying, "It's not that you can't like someone; it's just important to be mindful of your behavior and approach."
How pitiful; for his sister's happiness, even the president who dealt with company affairs every day had become chatty.
Ruan Fuxi smiled sweetly. "I understand, Brother. You can rest assured that I will never embarrass myself in the future."
Seeing her so resolute, Ruan Huai decided not to say anything further.
Suddenly, Ruan Fuxi recalled her earlier encounter with Lin Xueer. After the last reminder from Gui Gui, she had observed Lin closely this time and indeed noticed that her entire aura seemed somewhat out of place in this world.
Even though Lin was no longer by her brother's side, she couldn't let her guard down. Ruan Fuxi contemplated the best way to send Lin back to her original world, to where she belonged, rather than allowing her to stay here and draw on her brother's fortune to sustain herself.
