Perhaps Zhang, the assistant, was too visibly shocked. As Ruan Fuxi climbed down from the wild boar, she patted its head, and only then did the boar leave.
Zhang's eyes twitched at the sight. He was certain he had just seen a reluctant expression on the wild boar's face.
Ruan Fuxi got into the car and asked, "Where's my brother?"

Recalling his boss's attitude towards this young lady, Zhang remained very respectful, not allowing her false identity as a rich heiress to change his demeanor.
Ruan Fuxi nodded, not paying much attention. In her mind, she envisioned herself being kicked out of the Ruan family, dragging a suitcase behind her.

Thinking about the Ruan family's future downfall and its grim outcome, Ruan Fuxi felt that given how much love they had shown her over the years, she should do something to prevent them from ending up like in the original story.

The vehicle stopped in front of the Ruan family's standalone villa. Passing through the garden and fountain, Ruan Fuxi pushed open the door.
She expected a tense atmosphere filled with hostility, but as soon as she stepped inside, she met the pained gaze of a beautiful woman.
That was Madam Ruan, Lu Manyun, mother of both the original character and the female lead.
Looking at her daughter whom she had loved for twenty years but learned was not her biological child, Lu Manyun couldn't help but feel that fate was playing tricks on her.
She felt heartbroken for her biological daughter, who had faced so many hardships and whom she had not been able to accompany while growing up—she felt guilty for that.
Yet facing her beloved daughter whom she had cared for all these years, how could she truly ignore her just because there was no blood relation?
However, considering her biological daughter Mu Mu's feelings, Lu Manyun refrained from showing too much affection; she worried that Mu Mu would feel sad seeing her love for Fuxi.
However, Lu Manyun did not expect that her biological daughter would greet Xixi quite amicably. While she felt surprised and relieved, her heart was still heavy as she looked at Ruan Fuxi.
Lu Manyun worried that Xixi, being spoiled, might feel hurt upon discovering her true identity and develop hostility towards Mu Mu. Yet, what surprised her even more was that Ruan Fuxi did not lose her temper; instead, she responded with a smile.
In that moment, Lu Manyun's eyes lit up as she envisioned a beautiful scene of her two daughters living in harmony.
Then, Ruan Fuxi glanced at the people inside the room and raised an eyebrow. To her surprise, there were others present besides her family. Before Ruan Fuxi or the Ruan family could speak, a mocking voice rang out:
"Oh, isn't this Miss Ruan? Oh dear, look at me, I almost forgot you weren't one of the Ruan family."
Ruan Fuxi turned to follow the voice and met a derisive gaze filled with malicious glee directed at her.
