When Shazhu heard that he had been sentenced to ten years, he was stunned. How could this happen? Wasn't he just asking for a bit of New Year's money? Who doesn't give their children New Year's money? Why was he the one sentenced to ten years?
No matter how dissatisfied Shazhu was, it was useless; the court's judgment had already been made, and he was taken into prison that very day.
Upon arriving at the cell, he was still in a daze, completely unaware of the other inmates watching him with the eyes of wolves eyeing their prey. Shazhu found a corner and sat down, continuing to be lost in thought.
"Hey, kid! Come on, introduce yourself! What did you do to end up here?"
It was clear that the leader of the cell was addressing Shazhu. He glanced up at him but didn't respond.
"Hey! Kid, the boss wants you to introduce yourself. Are you deaf?"
One of the lackeys, seeing Shazhu's attitude, stepped forward and kicked him.
Shazhu was already in a bad mood, and now being kicked, how could he endure it? He jumped up and threw a punch at the lackey!
However, Shazhu's punch missed entirely; the lackey easily dodged it.
"Hey, not bad! You actually dare to fight back. Interesting! I haven't met someone like you in a while! Come on, let me teach you a lesson!"
As a result, Shazhu found himself on the ground without even managing to touch his opponent. He couldn't believe he had lost so easily!
But Shazhu quickly realized that this person was skilled. He heard the guy who hit him call the one who asked questions earlier "boss." If the lackey was this strong, how powerful must the boss be?
Shazhu wasn't really foolish; clearly, he wasn't going to take any more losses. He obediently introduced himself: "I am He Yuzhu, chef from the Third Steel Plant! I am wronged! I am a good person!"
Upon hearing Shazhu's introduction, the boss and his lackey exchanged glances and then burst into laughter.
"Isn't this convenient? We've been instructed by the guards to take care of someone called Chef He Yuzhu. We were just wondering when he'd show up!"
Now that he was here and still claiming to be wronged, no wonder they called him Shazhu!
The boss stepped forward and slapped Shazhu's face twice: "He Yuzhu, let me tell you something. You're not the only one who's wronged; I am too!"
Hearing this from the boss made Shazhu think he had found a kindred spirit. But then the boss continued: "Not only am I wronged; everyone in this cell is wronged! Right, brothers?"
The other eight inmates laughed and chimed in: "That's right! We're all wronged! Hahaha!"
Shazhu realized they were mocking him! Furious, he shouted: "What are you laughing at? I really am wronged! I just asked for some New Year's money and got sentenced to ten years! Woe is me! I'm innocent!"
As he spoke, tears began to flow down his cheeks!
"Smack! What are you crying about? Are you trying to fool us? How could you possibly be sentenced for just asking for New Year's money? There's no way you'd end up here!"
"Do you even know where this place is? This is a prison for serious offenders! Everyone here has committed crimes! And you're still shouting injustice? What a joke!"
Upon hearing that he was in a maximum-security prison, Sha Zhu felt momentarily dazed. Then he heard the boss say, "You're unlucky to be locked up here! But this is a stroke of luck for us brothers!"
"Boss, can I have some fun with this guy first? If you guys beat him up too badly, it won't be any fun anymore!"
At that moment, a slightly effeminate younger brother licked his lips and spoke to the boss.
