Sister Qin, I didn’t know it was Bang Geng!
Shazhu was at a loss for what to do. Qin Huairu looked at him with red eyes and said, “Shazhu, you bastard! If anything happens to my Bang Geng, I won’t let you off the hook!”
Seeing the blood at the corner of Bang Geng’s mouth, Yi Zhonghai quickly spoke up, “Huairu, don’t worry about that right now. We need to get Bang Geng to the hospital!”
Shazhu nodded vigorously, “Yes, Sister Qin, let’s take Bang Geng to the hospital first!”
Under Yi Zhonghai's urging gaze, Shazhu picked up Bang Geng and ran outside. Qin Huairu wiped her tears and followed closely behind.
Wang Jiefang watched this unfold in shock through his mental powers. To be honest, he only wanted Bang Geng to break the glass of his house and Yi Zhonghai's and Shazhu's. He never intended to hurt Bang Geng; otherwise, he would have acted when Bang Geng tried to smash his window.
Unexpectedly, fate played a cruel trick on him—he ended up getting knocked unconscious by Shazhu’s kick.
The commotion woke the residents of the courtyard. Before they could figure out what was happening, they saw Shazhu carrying Bang Geng while Yi Zhonghai and Qin Huairu hurriedly rushed out!
“Doctor! Hurry out and save him!” Shazhu shouted as he sprinted into the hospital.
The on-duty doctor saw Shazhu’s anxious demeanor and quickly took Bang Geng inside the emergency room.
Shazhu and the others were left waiting outside the emergency room. About half an hour later, a doctor finally emerged.
Qin Huairu rushed forward and grabbed the doctor, her voice trembling as she asked, “Doctor, how is Bang Geng?”
Yi Zhonghai and Shazhu also anxiously inquired, “Yes, Doctor, how is Bang Geng?”
The doctor gently freed himself from Qin Huairu’s grip and reassured them, “You three don’t need to worry. The patient is fine. He just suffered a severe blow to his stomach that caused internal bleeding and fainted. We’ve stopped the bleeding now. Once he wakes up and takes a few days to recover at home, he’ll be alright!”
Hearing this explanation, all three of them breathed a sigh of relief. Then Qin Huairu turned to Shazhu and slapped him!
“Shazhu! You heartless bastard! Even though Bang Geng often takes things from your room, you can’t treat him like this! You kicked him in the stomach! What if you had kicked his ribs or heart? You could have broken his ribs or even killed him!”
Shazhu took the slap without daring to retort. He lowered his head in shame and slapped himself twice hard across the face. The swelling on his cheeks became visible almost instantly. Goodness! He really went hard on himself! Qin Huairu’s slap had only left a red mark.
“Sister Qin, I’m sorry! I really didn’t mean to hurt Bang Geng. You know I care for him; how could I bear to hit him?”
“It was too dark; I couldn’t see it was Bang Geng! Who knew he would come out at midnight to smash windows?”
Shazhu felt truly wronged!
“Oh really? So you’re saying Bang Geng deserved to be hit? Just because he broke your window? You’re just taking this opportunity to get back at him!” Qin Huairu began to argue back.
“No, Sister Qin, I didn’t—”
Shazhu tried to explain himself again when Yi Zhonghai interjected: “Alright, you two stop arguing. Shazhu, no matter what happened, it’s wrong for you to injure Bang Geng like this. You need to pay for his medical expenses first!”
Hearing Yi Zhonghai's words, Shazhu lowered his head in dejection and replied, "Understood, Master. I will hand it over right away."
