Under Lin Yao's fierce gaze, Meng Xingchen and Wang Jincheng could only leave in defeat.

The school had built many small activity rooms specifically for teams and various clubs; one could use them for half a day with just a credit.
Lin Yao had Meng Xingchen specially rent an activity room for their squad meeting.
"This is our squad's first official meeting. I won't waste time; I'll just mention two things. First, let's welcome classmate Yao Beiluo to our Light Squad."
Lin Yao finished speaking and took the lead in applauding. The others, except for Wang Jincheng, followed suit, clapping their hands together.
There was one more thing: I am preparing to appoint Yao Beiluo as the vice-captain of the Light Squad.

If anyone has thoughts about the vice-captain position, we can implement a rotating system starting next month. We can hold a vote within the squad each month; whoever receives the most votes will serve as vice-captain for that month. How does that sound? Would you like to give it a try?”
The others were suddenly at a loss for words. They didn’t like the idea of an unexpected vice-captain being appointed, but that didn’t mean they wanted to take on the role themselves.
Wang Jincheng still wanted to argue but fell silent under Lin Yao’s stern gaze. Just because they weren’t speaking didn’t mean they were convinced.
