On that day during the test, among so many talented individuals, each possessing family background and wealth that surpassed Lin Yao's, it was Lin Yao who achieved the highest score in the data test. This led many to speculate that she either had exceptional talent or unique training methods.
Recently, everyone had been too exhausted; they spent their days training and collapsed into bed at night, leaving Lin Yao with a peaceful mind. In a few days, once everyone adjusted to this rhythm, many would likely seek her guidance.
After chatting with Ye Yun, training quickly commenced. Today was another day of Xie Zhuo's rigorous sparring with Lin Yao. However, her reactions had improved significantly compared to the previous days; she was no longer just passively enduring the blows but could occasionally exchange a few moves with the coach. At her peak, she even managed to land a couple of hits on Xie Zhuo.
The situation today was similar; during an intense exchange, Lin Yao summoned all her strength. She moved like a finely-tuned machine, every dodge efficient and every strike cunningly placed to make it difficult for her opponent to evade. Moreover, the more she fought, the clearer her mind became, her movements quicker and her strikes more powerful. It almost seemed as if she were dominating Xie Zhuo.
In reality, Xie Zhuo felt that Lin Yao was on the verge of a breakthrough, so he deliberately fed her openings. As they fought fiercely, Lin Yao suddenly felt a heat in her eyes. Instinctively activating her Extreme Vision ability, she noticed a dark spot on the coach's body. Sensing it might be a weak point, she unleashed all her strength and struck that spot with a punch.
With a loud thud, Xie Zhuo was knocked down to the ground. Lin Yao had no time to check on him; her Extreme Vision was about to advance. She quickly sat down and began channeling her powers for the upgrade.
The training area was open, and some people noticed what was happening and rushed over to see. "Coach, are you alright?"
Xie Zhuo covered the impacted area and shook his head. "I'm fine; Lin Yao might be awakening or advancing. You all step back a bit; don’t disturb her." After saying this, he struggled to get up but immediately fell again.
Yao Beiluo hurriedly supported him. "Coach, Lin Yao's awakening during this battle should be significant. You might have been impacted by her strongest strike upon awakening; you should go see the medical staff."
There is a saying that some people, when they awaken or upgrade their powerful skills, can unleash an extraordinary blow that causes immense damage. Listening to Yao Beiluo, Xie Zhuo also felt that Lin Yao's strike was indeed remarkable. Yao Beiluo thoughtfully called for a military doctor to carry Xie Zhuo away and then arranged for a group of people to continue their training while he stayed behind with his opponent, Wang Jincheng, to watch over Lin Yao.
"Yao Beiluo, do you think Lin Yao has leveled up or awakened her abilities?" Wang Jincheng said, clicking his tongue. "Even from a distance, I could feel that aura; it gives you the sensation of being targeted."
Wang Jincheng couldn't hold back his curiosity and started chatting with Yao Beiluo. Yao Beiluo shook his head, "I don't know!"
"Come on, Yao Beiluo, can’t you say a few more words without dying?" Wang Jincheng complained about Yao Beiluo's evasiveness.
Yao Beiluo shot him a sideways glance. "Aren't you part of her team now? Why are you still asking me about this?"
Just a couple of days ago, Lin Yao had agreed to let Wang Jincheng join her team, and he couldn't help but boast about it. Now nearly everyone knew he was part of Lin Yao's squad.
Wang Jincheng brushed off Yao Beiluo's sarcasm and retorted confidently, "So what if I joined the Mingguang Squad? Who says the captain has to tell me everything?"
"Besides," he continued, "I've only been in for a few days; how could I possibly know everything?"
"Then why are you asking me?" Yao Beiluo replied.
"I’m just making small talk!" Wang Jincheng said somewhat defensively.
The two quickly fell into silence. Just when Yao Beiluo thought Wang Jincheng had finally decided to keep quiet, he suddenly jumped up and exclaimed, "Yao Beiluo, you’re not jealous, are you?"
"What would I be jealous of?" Yao Beiluo replied.
"Haha! Jealous that Lin Yao invited me to join her team but not you!"
"I’m not!"
"How can you say that? You talk to me often enough; even if you ignore me, you wouldn’t be so prickly. Today’s conversation is quite different; you're really throwing shade!"
"I didn't!"
"You did!"
"Say whatever you want."
"Tch, you're really boring. If you want to join the Mingguang Squad, just say it. Lin Yao might agree if she's in a good mood."
Yao Beiluo remained silent, focusing intently on Lin Yao, who was advancing. Wang Jincheng spoke a few words, but with no one responding, he found it quite dull.
Lin Yao's Extreme Vision had a very high mutation level, and it took her a good part of the day to complete her advancement.
As she opened her eyes, she noticed Yao Beiluo and Wang Jincheng watching over her. She quickly thanked Yao Beiluo.
"Thank you for your help. By the way, where's Instructor Xie?"
Yao Beiluo pursed his lips and replied, "Instructor Xie was injured by your punch and has been sent to the infirmary."
"I need to check on him!" Even though her consciousness had been hazy at that moment, Lin Yao remembered the weak point attack from her punch and felt a bit worried.
"Lin Yao, I'll go with you!" Wang Jincheng offered.
"No need. You two have already delayed today's training progress by staying with me; you should continue with your training."
After saying that, she didn't wait for their reactions and hurried towards the infirmary.
On her way there, she overheard the duty doctor mention that Xie Zhuo's injury was unusual and that he had been sent to the base hospital.
"Can I go to the base hospital to see Instructor Xie?"
The duty doctor hesitated for a moment.
Lin Yao stated directly, "Instructor Xie's injury was caused by me during my advancement; my abilities might help identify the source of his pain."
