Ye Yun sighed, recalling how, in the dormitory, she had thought this younger sister spoke so stiffly and coldly that she must be hard to get along with. Little did she know, it was just that she was too shy to engage with others.
Accompanied by the rhythmic tapping of the keyboard from You Mi, the four of them happily concluded their first gathering in the dormitory.
As they stood up to leave the cafeteria, they unexpectedly ran into Lin Yue, who was surrounded by a group of boys and girls, bustling in their direction.
After finishing her practical exam, Lin Yao had avoided returning to the Lin family villa to prevent any trouble or entanglement with her relatives. With that push, Lin Yue had no choice but to step forward. "Sister, where have you been? You didn't come home all summer! Mom and Dad were worried sick about you!"
Perhaps due to her previous embarrassment from being rejected, Lin Yue was surprisingly polite this time when she initiated conversation.
Lin Yao had already noticed what was happening over there and didn’t miss the person behind Lin Yue who was subtly hinting at her.

You even called me just a dog for your family! What’s this about now? Pretending to be good sisters in front of others while expecting me to serve your family like a servant behind your back?"
"Sister," Lin Yue replied hastily, "I was just accidentally poisoned back then; it affected my mind and made me say nonsense. Why are you still holding a grudge against me for that?"
Lin Yue clearly had rehearsed this line well; not even stuttering as she spoke smoothly. After all, with countless interstellar plants out there, it was entirely plausible that someone could accidentally consume or come into contact with something toxic during a practical exam.
"Then your teammates must really be useless," Lin Yao shot back. "In a team of seven—six boys and just you as the lone girl—you couldn't even protect yourself. Your previous teammates wouldn’t have also ended up at First Central Academy following you around now, would they?"
Lin Yao stretched her neck to look at the group behind her.
Lin Yue found herself in a dilemma after hearing those words. She quickly interjected, "No, those are just my new classmates."
"Oh, that's good then." Lin Yao said with a relieved expression as she patted her shoulder. "A delicate girl like you should find a strong man to protect you. I think this group looks pretty good, much better than the previous ones!"
Lin Yue glanced at the group of boys and girls behind her. Their expressions were not very pleasant after hearing Lin Yao's words. She hurriedly said, "Sister, you misunderstood. They are all my classmates, and it's safe at school. There's no need for anyone to protect me."
"That's true; school is safe. Well, keep an eye out for someone during midterms and finals," Lin Yao continued, but before she could finish her sentence, Lin Yue quickly interrupted her.
"Sister, my classmates and I are going to eat now, so I won't chat with you anymore. Goodbye!"
Watching Lin Yue leave in a hurry, Lin Yao smirked slightly, secretly activating the little schemes she had planted during the practical exam.
Suddenly, they heard a commotion from Lin Yue's group as they erupted into an argument—Lin Yue and the instigator were having a fierce quarrel in the cafeteria that escalated into slapping and hair-pulling.
Lin Yao walked back with her roommate, leaving the ruckus behind her.
Ye Yun couldn't help but tease, "Tsk tsk, your expression really looks like that of a villain."
Wan Xiaoqi looked at her with admiration. "Lin Yao, you're amazing! Without using any foul language, just a few plain words made Lin Yue speechless. I wish I had your eloquence!"
Even Yu Mi, who usually struggled with social anxiety, was staring at her with bright eyes.
This made Lin Yao question what kind of dullards were in her dormitory if such basic skills were worthy of admiration.
After confronting Lin Yue, Lin Yao indeed felt quite pleased.
