Su Rui completely couldn't understand Tang Zhi's urgency, instead commenting coolly, "Getting fooled so easily shows a lack of brains. Talent alone isn't enough without some smarts." Lin Yao shot him a glare, prompting him to obediently close his mouth.
"Since there are no reinforcements, we'll have to think of something ourselves," Lin Yao said.
"We?" Tang Zhi asked, puzzled.
Lin Yao scrutinized his appearance for a moment. "I think you look quite handsome."
"I—" Tang Zhi's words were cut short as Lin Yao and Su Rui teamed up to push him forward, right in front of the person who was selecting candidates.
Although they didn't know why Tang Zhi had shown up voluntarily, the selector found his looks quite appealing and without suspicion, directly pushed him to the back.
After choosing a dozen or so young men and women, the selector finally seemed satisfied and led them away.
The people in the prison were left bewildered, whispering among themselves for quite some time.
Once Tang Zhi was taken away, Lin Yao and Su Rui waited for a moment before donning their cloaks and pressing the teleportation button to disappear into the shadows.
Earlier, while wearing their invisibility cloaks, they had explored this temporary base and had a general understanding of it. During their wanderings, they discovered that there was an elegantly decorated room vacant on the second underground floor.
The broker, Brother Lei, lived in a room that was hardly better than a shell, yet there was an empty luxurious room—clearly reserved for buyers.
Having exited the prison cell, they headed straight for the second underground floor without needing to inquire further. In such desolate planets, most of the surface was uninhabitable; people often lived underground where safety increased with depth.
As they descended, they noticed that the number of guards had multiplied several times compared to before. This further confirmed their suspicion that the buyer resided there.
Navigating through numerous checkpoints without any trouble, they finally caught up with Tang Zhi just as he was about to enter a room.
The selector didn't take them directly to the buyer's room but first led them to a nearby room for washing up. They were treated to luxurious baths with clean water for grooming.
Watching as several young people were stripped and tossed into the pool one by one, Lin Yao and Su Rui instinctively covered each other's eyes.
After doing so, they exchanged glances and nearly burst into laughter.
Their movements weren't particularly quiet; however, with so many people in the nice room, they didn't attract attention. Meanwhile, Tang Zhi was aware of what was happening and was sneakily looking around.
Lin Yao discreetly scooped a flower petal from the pool and tossed it at Tang Zhi. He finally realized he had been making too much noise and had drawn others' attention.
After this group of beautiful individuals finished their baths and were forced to change into sheer garments, they began to realize the abnormality of the situation.
Especially the girl who was bathing in a separate room, she had already started to scream, refusing to wear the revealing fabric. The selector, surprisingly calm at this moment, patiently advised her, "Don't be ungrateful. Our young master is of high status; being able to serve him is a privilege for you!"
One particularly attractive girl, wrapped in a towel, stepped forward and said with displeasure, "Do you want this privilege for yourself?"
In response, the selector slapped her across the face without hesitation. "Am I giving you face?"
The girl's abilities and physical prowess were restrained by a suppression ring, and she was knocked to the ground by the force of the slap. The selector then stepped on her beautiful face and coldly remarked, "You don't even know your own identity. If you can't appreciate a comfortable life, then you're just asking for trouble."
With that, he called out to someone behind him. Two muscular men rushed in and dragged the girl out, declaring that she was a gift from the young master for everyone to enjoy.
At the selector's command, two strong men entered and hoisted the fallen girl by her arms, dragging her out. In the process, her towel slipped off, causing her to panic as she tried to retrieve it. Unfortunately, with both arms firmly held by her captors, she couldn't move at all and was helplessly dragged away in her exposed state.
At that moment, fear finally gripped her; she screamed frantically, "Let go of me! You can't treat me like this! I am—"
Before she could finish her sentence, someone picked up an object from the ground and stuffed it into her mouth to silence her. Unable to scream or struggle, tears streamed down her face, making her look pitiful.
However, this display of vulnerability did not elicit any sympathy from those around; instead, it frightened the other girls into silence.
"Those who don't want to be dragged out should quickly put on their clothes!"
At the selector's command, the girls dared not resist any longer. Trembling hands reached for the sheer garments as they hurried behind curtains to change.
Once they emerged wearing their sheer outfits and stood in a neat row, the selector finally nodded in satisfaction. "Now that's more like it!"
When Lin Yao saw the girl who had resisted being dragged away, she quickly wrote a message for Su Rui to stay here and watch while she followed behind them.
In this interstellar era, although attitudes towards gender were much more liberal than before, there was still a significant difference between being forced and being willing. Moreover, considering that the other party was just a teenage girl, Lin Yao couldn't bear to see such a young girl suffer this kind of humiliation.
The two strong men did not take the girl towards the luxurious room but instead headed in the opposite direction. They quickly made their way toward an exit leading down to the basement level before dragging her into a nearby room.
Lin Yao followed closely behind them, slipping into the room just before they closed the door.
Inside the room, there was a large bed. The two men dragged the girl and tossed her onto it, their earlier serious expressions completely replaced by lewd grins.
One of the burly men leered at the young girl and said, "Don't be nervous, little one. My brothers and I will make sure you enjoy yourself."
Before he could utter anything more disgusting, Lin Yao swiftly threw a handful of powder at them.
Both men were level five or six martial artists and ability users, so they had some resistance to drugs. However, after inhaling the powder, they were dazed for a moment before collapsing to the floor with a thud. The girl succumbed to the drug even faster than the two men.
Worried that others might enter the room soon, Lin Yao knew she had to keep an eye on Tang Zhi and couldn’t afford to stay here for long. She pinched the girl’s chin and forced a detoxifying potion into her mouth.
Before long, the girl regained consciousness.
Lin Yao didn’t bother to lift her invisibility cloak; instead, she said, "Now that you’re awake, I’ll be brief. I just saved you, but I can’t take you away yet. However, you don’t need to worry; I’ll leave some sleeping powder in this room. Anyone who comes in will be knocked out immediately."
Without waiting for a response, she shoved two vials of medicine into the girl's hands.
