"Brother Zhang, what’s going on?" Xu Qianqian looked at the encircling crowd with concern.

Zhang Qing reminded himself to stay calm. He then turned his gaze to the elders, cupping his hands in greeting. "Esteemed elders, may I ask what brings you here?"
Jiang Youming pointed directly at him. "We received a report that you, in your pursuit of hunting the Black Fire Wolf, caused the deaths of fifty wandering cultivators!"
Zhang Qing's expression changed slightly; this was something he had kept very secret. Aside from his family, no one else knew. His family members would never betray him, as their own lives were tied to the clan. If they turned against him, they would all be doomed. The only person who knew was Chen Anlin, but he was just one individual—his testimony would hold no weight. Who would listen to the words of a wandering cultivator? "Do you think what you did was flawless?" Jiang Youming countered. "Many people in the wandering cultivator market know about what happened back then. All those cultivators who followed you disappeared without a trace! And this isn't the only incident; you've caused many deaths among wandering cultivators."
Chen Anlin recounted numerous instances.
"Slander! You're slandering me!" Zhang Qing's face turned ashen.
"Whether it's slander or not can be easily verified. We can send someone to the wandering cultivator market and ask around! I believe the eyes of the public are sharp," Chen Anlin asserted.
His words quickly garnered agreement from many present.
"Yes, we can just ask around later."

"Zhang Qing, did you hear that?" Jiang Youming asked.
