Seeing this filled Chen Anlin with longing; these individuals were flying using spiritual power!
"We're currently broke and need to figure out how to obtain some spirit stones before searching for our ancestors!" Wu Xixue suggested.
"Alright, let's head into the city first."
With that, Chen Anlin pulled Wu Xixue into the city. The streets were bustling and wide, but what puzzled them was the presence of many beggars on both sides of the road in this celestial realm.
There were even numerous beautiful female cultivators, dressed provocatively, soliciting clients in dark alleys. As Chen Anlin passed these places, he had already been approached several times by alluring female cultivators, inviting him to come inside for a look.
Wu Xixue remembered but was not foolish; she angrily pulled Chen Anlin away. "Hmph, these women are quite bold, daring to make advances on my consort!" Wu Xixue had completely regarded Chen Anlin as her consort.

He could refine items; for now, his plan was to enter a refining shop and ask if they needed any help.
Chen Anlin thought it would be simple, but once he tried to find a place to work as a refiner, he realized it was much harder than he had anticipated.
"I'm sorry, little brother, but we only hire real refiners here, not apprentices!"
"Just you? You can refine? Hahaha! Little brother, you’re making me laugh to death."
"Get lost! I'm busy; I don't have time to joke around with you."
"You’re just a kid and think you can be a refiner here? Hahaha!"
After asking around, all he received were mocking responses. This left Chen Anlin quite frustrated.
Wu Xixue was even angrier, wanting to confront them fiercely, but Chen Anlin managed to hold her back. If they really got into a fight with those people, they would probably be beaten to death without anyone caring.
"Ah, Xiao Anzi, it seems that coming here isn't as easy as we imagined. What are we going to do now?" Wu Xixue felt lost, unsure of what to do.
Chen Anlin sighed and said, "If it comes to worst, I can set up a stall and refine some potions myself."
"Set up a stall?" Wu Xixue shook her head. "But refining requires purchasing medicinal materials, and we don't have any money."
In their current situation, to put it bluntly, they couldn't afford even food, and it was very likely they would starve to death.
While the two were discussing their predicament, a somewhat dilapidated shop caught Chen Anlin's attention.
A pharmacy!
The shop's name was simple; it was clear at a glance what this place was for. Chen Anlin decided to give it a try and walked over.
Inside the shop was dimly lit, with dust covering the corners. It was evident that few people came here.
Behind the counter stood an old shopkeeper with small eyes who was dozing off.
"Shopkeeper," Chen Anlin greeted.
"Huh?" The shopkeeper didn't lift his head and asked in a low voice.
"Looks like you weren't really asleep after all."
Seeing the two of them, he continued, "You don't seem like customers here. What brings you to my little shop?"
"Shopkeeper, I am an alchemist. I wonder if your store needs one?" Chen Anlin asked.
"Hah, you? Have you even grown enough hair?" The shopkeeper finally raised his head and disdainfully stared at Chen Anlin.
Another round of mockery.
Chen Anlin felt helpless and said, "Shopkeeper, please let me give it a try."
"Do you know that medicinal materials are expensive? Do you think you can afford to try? Just leave; this shop is indeed lacking an alchemist and is about to close down, but you're really not cut out for it!"
