"Young Master Chen." Wu Qigang hurried over, a questioning look on his face.
"Elder Wu, don't worry. Your granddaughter has been brought here," he said.
As he spoke, Wu Qianlian stepped down from the carriage.
Wu Qigang's eyes widened in disbelief. "I can't recognize her... I really can't."
"Grandpa, look at this," Wu Qianlian said, pulling out a token of identity. It was the only token she had left when her master, Yang Bingyi, had found her.

The grandfather and granddaughter began to cry, while Chen Anlin yawned in boredom nearby.
"Really, when will this end? I still have to meet the Empress," Chen Anlin thought to himself. Finally, he spoke up: "Elder Wu, there's something I don't know if I should mention."
"What is it?" Wu Qigang asked.

After hearing this explanation, Wu Qigang frowned deeply. "My granddaughter, don’t worry. Grandpa knows many doctors who can cure you."
"Elder Wu, actually I have some methods," Chen Anlin interjected at that moment.
Wu Qigang looked surprised. "Oh? I didn’t know you were also a physician?"
"Grandpa, Young Master Chen is a physician," Wu Qianlian confirmed.
Wu Qianlian explained how Chen Anlin had cured the elders of the Hua Sect.
"Alright, tell me, how did he do it?" Hearing his granddaughter's words, Wu Qigang believed her about eighty percent.
Chen Anlin then listed dozens of spiritual herbs.

In the grand hall of the palace, the noble and aloof Wu Xixue was listening to Yang Dou's report.
Under Chen Anlin's forceful intervention, the Hua Sect had been revived while Tai Jiao suffered heavy losses; Elder He Huan had died on the spot. Moreover, two evil cultivators—Blood Demon and Qinglian Demoness—had also perished.

He raised his head. Wu Xixue let out a soft huff; this boy seemed to be fixated on her toes.
"Is there something dirty about my toes?"
"Your Majesty, how have you been lately?" Chen Anlin asked with concern.
"Recently, there hasn’t been much going on. But you, you’ve given me quite a surprise and achieved great merit!"
Chen Anlin smiled broadly. "It’s all thanks to Sister Dou'er for protecting me."
As he spoke, he glanced at Yang Dou behind the Empress and even winked at her.
Yang Dou immediately lowered her head in embarrassment.
Wu Xixue frowned; these two dared to flirt right in front of her. What kind of decorum was that?
She felt a pang of jealousy but reminded herself that Chen Anlin had just accomplished something significant, so she had to suppress her anger.
"Enough with the sweet talk. Minister Chen, now that you've achieved such great merit, what reward do you desire?"
Chen Anlin instinctively glanced at Wu Xixue's feet.

"What is it?"
"It's called black stockings! I want to help you wear them. Once you do, you'll truly appreciate their wonders," Chen Anlin asserted confidently.
