"I... I..." Zhao Zhiqiang stammered for a long time without managing to articulate anything coherent. I quickly interrupted her, "Aunt Wang, please go help with the cleanup. I can handle things here." As I spoke, I subtly positioned myself in front of Bai Qingxia, signaling her with my eyes to remain silent. 0

Lu Jianguo stepped up to Zhao Zhiqiang, pointing at the flooded warehouse and scolding him angrily, "Look at what you've done! You've turned the entire warehouse into a disaster zone! Do you have any idea how much this will cost us?" His voice grew louder, his tone more severe, and he glared at me with resentment. 0

Hearing my words seemed to temporarily suppress Lu Jianguo's fury. He directed the employees to quickly shut off the water valve and organized a team to clean up the warehouse. The supermarket was suddenly bustling with activity as employees rushed back and forth, moving the soaked goods. 0

Zhao Zhiqiang was intimidated by Lu Jianguo's imposing presence; he lowered his head, afraid to retort, and muttered softly, "I didn't mean to..." 0

"Uncle Lu, I... I don't know what happened..." Before Zhao Zhiqiang could explain further, he was met with a barrage of harsh words from Lu Jianguo: "You still have the nerve to say you don't know! Just listen to yourself—it's a disaster! All these good items ruined..." 0

Zhao Zhiqiang raised his head and shot me a fierce glare, but upon meeting Lu Jianguo's stern gaze, he refrained from lashing out. I moved closer to Lu Jianguo and whispered, "Dad, let's not blame Zhao Zhiqiang entirely; it might have been an accident. However, someone has to take responsibility for the warehouse losses." 0

Lu Jianguo took a deep breath, trying to calm himself. He looked at Zhao Zhiqiang and softened his tone slightly: "What do you think about this, Zhao Zhiqiang?" 0

Zhao Zhiqiang hesitated before stammering, "I have no money!" 0

Raising an eyebrow, I replied, "No money? Then let your family compensate for it." 0

Zhao Zhiqiang's face turned even paler as he lowered his head in silence. He knew that if his family found out about this incident, he would surely face severe punishment. 0

Lu Jianguo inhaled deeply again, striving to regain his composure. "Lyuanyou is right; our priority now is to deal with the aftermath." 0

Zhao Zhiqiang looked utterly aggrieved and wanted to argue but dared not speak up in light of Lu Jianguo's anger. He shot me a furtive glare filled with malice. He understood that all of this was orchestrated by me, yet he had no evidence to prove it. 0

Zhao Zhiqiang stood there, a look of unwillingness on his face as he stared at me. 0

Reluctantly, he pulled out a few crumpled bills from his pocket and handed them to Lu Jianguo, saying, “Uncle Lu, is this enough?” 0

Lu Jianguo took the money, counted it, and scoffed, “You think this little amount can settle things? Do you have any idea how much these goods have cost us? This incident may be an accident, but you are responsible for the losses in the warehouse. You know exactly how much you owe.” 0

Zhao Zhiqiang was taken aback for a moment before erupting in anger. “Why should I! Clearly it was you…” 0

I interrupted him, my tone icy. “Are you sure you want to raise your voice here and let everyone know what you've done?” 0

Zhao Zhiqiang's expression darkened further. He gritted his teeth and finally nodded. “I understand.” He pulled out a stack of money from his pocket and handed it to Lu Jianguo. “Is this enough?” 0

Lu Jianguo accepted the money, counted it again, and nodded in satisfaction. “Alright, we’ll consider this settled.” He turned to Zhao Zhiqiang with a hint of warning in his voice. “Be careful in the future; don’t cause any more trouble.” He patted my shoulder and walked away. 0

I watched my father’s retreating figure with a slight smile at the corners of my mouth. My tone was calm, but my eyes held an undeniable determination. 0

I stepped in front of Zhao Zhiqiang and said coldly, “Zhao Zhiqiang, I won’t hold this against you this time. However, I hope you keep your distance from Bai Qingxia in the future.” 0

Zhao Zhiqiang gritted his teeth and glared at me fiercely. “Lu Yuanqiu, just wait!” His face turned pale instantly; he opened his mouth but couldn’t say anything. 0

Lu Jianguo sighed as he watched Zhao Zhiqiang leave. “That kid is really becoming more outrageous.” 0

I patted Lu Jianguo on the shoulder and said, “Dad, don’t worry. I’ll keep a close eye on him.” 0

Lu Jianguo nodded and turned to direct the staff to clean up the scene. 0

Bai Qingxia looked up at me, her eyes filled with a hint of gratitude and admiration. "Lu Yuanqiu, thank you." 0

I smiled and waved my hand dismissively. "No need to thank me, it was just a small effort." After a pause, I added, "If you encounter any difficulties in the future, feel free to let me know." 0

Bai Qingxia gently nodded, remaining silent as she walked quietly beside me. The setting sun stretched our shadows long across the ground. 0
