How many people have been killed in total?
"Seven people, I killed one today."
"What about yesterday? How many did you kill yesterday?"
"Two. Four were killed yesterday. The day before, two; I killed two the day before." The Sick Man said expressionlessly, his eyes revealing a hint of madness and indifference.
Did you think the Sick Man looked frail?
No, he was either killing or on his way to kill.
While others had three meals a day, he had three killings a day. In just three days, he committed six murders, resulting in seven deaths.
What baffled the police was that his motive for each crime was rape, yet he failed every time. Each time he was on the verge of being caught, he managed to escape from dire situations. How could you tolerate that?

On this day, a major serial murder case shocked the local community.
Surveillance footage showed that at 3:20 PM, a female college student was waiting for a ride here.
Before long, a man wearing a red cotton jacket and blue jeans rode up on a motorcycle and began to chat her up.
Half a minute later, the female college student left on a motorcycle with a man.
At 3:40, just twenty minutes later, the murder occurred.
Someone called the police, reporting that a man and a woman were found lying in a pool of blood by a remote mountain road.
The investigator rushed to the scene. The two were more than ten meters apart; the man showed no signs of life, while the girl had suffered a throat cut but still had a faint breath.
The police immediately took her to the hospital. Upon identification, she was confirmed to be the female college student who had left just twenty minutes earlier.
One investigator crouched down to examine the girl's wounds, his brow furrowed and his expression grave.
Upon investigation, it was determined that the deceased man was not the motorcyclist but rather 63-year-old Luo Tianyun, the village secretary from a nearby village.
"This old man had a single cut across his neck," one forensic expert remarked while examining the body, gesturing as he spoke.
The technical team quickly began their examination and suddenly discovered a knife sheath, gloves, and earmuffs left behind by the suspect at the scene. After some time, they finally extracted DNA information.
The technicians carefully collected evidence, their eyes fixed on the items in their hands, not missing any detail.
Meanwhile, another group of officers conducted extensive interviews based on the characteristics of the criminal suspect provided by video footage and set up roadblocks along the route.
For a period of time, various leads reached the investigator's ears.
"We received over twenty reported leads at that time, and there were also more than twenty suspects. We investigated each one," an officer said as he diligently organized his notes.
However, after thorough investigation, none of these individuals seemed likely to have committed the crime.
By the next day, January 16th, the police received a tip-off about a man named Nie Luyong who bore a striking resemblance to the murderer. Through DNA comparison with his relatives, it was confirmed that he was indeed the suspect.
Just as the police were deploying layers of surveillance, good news finally arrived.

The man smiled slightly. "What a coincidence! I live in Tea Garden Village too." Xiaoli thought she had met a kind stranger and naively got on his bike, initially heading in the direction of her home. However, when they reached a turning point, the man suddenly accelerated up the mountain.
Realizing something was wrong, Xiaoli quickly jumped off the bike and began to run while calling for help. Unfortunately, she was soon caught by the man.
He gripped Xiaoli's arm tightly, a sinister glint in his eyes as he attempted to assault her.
In that critical moment, an elderly woodcutter heard her cries for help—he was none other than Luo Xueyun, the village secretary known for his helpfulness and fairness.
Seeing someone approaching, the assailant fled up the mountain in desperation. Having trained at a martial arts school, he possessed remarkable physical abilities and ran swiftly, making it impossible for anyone to catch up with him. Unfortunately, they missed the best opportunity to apprehend him.
