Sang Qingxiao smiled at Yong Huai. "You go prepare first, don't keep Yuanhui Master waiting. We've already noted down the Prescription, it will take some time to analyze."
After Yong Huai left, Old Vine spoke up. "Old Man, after so many years of studying pharmacology, I've never seen such a ridiculous Prescription. It doesn't make sense at all; that Old Bald Donkey must be up to something."
"Even if it doesn't make sense, there must be something profound within this Prescription. You should ponder over it carefully."
Yong Huai took half a day to slowly gather everything and personally delivered it to Yuanhui, receiving a very polite thank you in return. He wanted to stay outside and listen for any sounds.
When Yuanhui opened the door again, he caught Yong Huai off guard and politely asked him to step back, warning him that this required concentration. If influenced by other factors, even a slight mistake could cost another life.
Worried, Yong Huai left. Yuanhui stood by the closed door, confirming everything was in order before he walked over to the body.
First, he prepared a potion, soaking sandalwood of finger thickness in it. When he took it out, it was completely soaked through. He pinched his fingers to create a flame, which surprisingly ignited.
The room was instantly filled with an incredibly fragrant aroma that was somewhat overwhelming. However, Yuanhui found it intoxicating and nearly forgot about his task.
The sandalwood burned quickly; within the time it took to drink a cup of tea, Yuanhui gathered the scent that lingered around the body and carefully collected the ash. After tasting a few bites for a sense of fullness, he contentedly tucked it into his clothing.
After completing all this, his expression became increasingly relaxed as he took out a head-sized Muyu, entirely black with hints of blood color when exposed to light. He tapped it leisurely while chanting the Sutra once more.
Time passed without him noticing until finally, the corpse of Wisdom Supreme began to change. Tiny specks of golden light emerged reluctantly being drawn into the strange Muyu.
Feeling it was about time, Yuanhui stopped and eagerly opened a small opening at the top of the Muyu. Peering inside revealed only a thin layer at the bottom.
Yuanhui felt extremely dissatisfied; after gulping it down in one go, he angrily glared at Wisdom Supreme's corpse. After rushing so much for so little, he regretted not acting sooner!
Though he claimed three days would be needed, in reality, he emerged after just a day and a half and went directly to find Yong Huai, saying he wanted to borrow a temple for use.
"What use does the master have for borrowing a temple?"
Yuanhui looked embarrassed. "I traveled overnight and my body can't take it anymore; I want to rest before moving on. I will also bring Wisdom Supreme's corpse to the temple."
"Which temple does the master wish to go to?"
Yuanhui hesitated for a moment. "I don't know; is Grand Temple convenient?"
"Grand Temple?!"
Yong Huai almost thought he misheard. "Master, are you mistaken? Although Grand Temple has 'temple' in its name, it's not dedicated to Buddha or Bodhisattvas."
"That place isn't accessible to ordinary people; it's primarily dedicated to emperors, empresses, and those who made significant contributions to the Court."
"I know."
"Then why—"
Yong Huai thought sarcastically that calling him fanciful was too polite; he was simply an Old Bald Donkey seeking death. If he wanted to court disaster himself, he shouldn't drag others down with him!
Thinking of this, Yong Huai's gaze clearly became more distant.
Yuanhui smiled, "The Great Jing Royal Family has had quite a few troubles these days."
Yong Huai's eyes were wary, refusing to engage with his words.
