After leaving the Small Tavern, Sang Qingxiao instructed Old Vine to look into Chi Chen'an.
As she pushed the door open and entered the room to rest, a voice came from behind her, asking, "Where have you been?"
Sang Qingxiao turned around to see the silent black panther appear and smiled, "You're still awake at this late hour? You should be resting early with your injuries, Li Cu. You're not following the doctor's orders."
"Where have you been?" Li Cu asked again.
"Just handling some personal matters."
Li Cu leaped into Sang Qingxiao's room, lying down with her hind legs tucked under her and her front legs crossed. With that elegant long neck, it seemed that their Li Cu was quite the graceful noble lady.
Sang Qingxiao shed her black clothing and went to wash her face. "Is there something you want to discuss?"
"Does Misha only handle cooking every time?" Li Cu inquired.
"He has plenty to do—chanting prayers, taking care of Two Little Treasures, sorting and receiving goods—always busy. When there's no work, he finds something to do; he’s occupied all day long."
"What about besides that?"
"You'll have to ask him."
"Sang Qingxiao, do you really let your Spirit Familiar handle all of this?"
Sitting across from her, Sang Qingxiao asked, "What insights do you have, Li Cu?"
"Aren't you a Demon Catcher? When are we going to catch some demons?"
"First, you need to recover that half demon core of yours."
"I don’t need to recover; I can make the opponent kneel and beg for mercy!"
"Li Cu, if you can defeat demons in your current state, I won’t even need to lift a finger. You might as well leave the bounty hunting to other Demon Catchers."
Li Cu looked dispirited. "You have food and drink here and live comfortably, but I find it a bit boring. There used to be others who would spar and play with me. If you keep spoiling me like this, I’ll end up growing lazy."
"Just wait for the neighbors to come over; their skills are certainly better than those of Wang Dachui's group."
In just two days, Old Vine had uncovered quite a bit of information. "Girl, your cousin is quite remarkable; daytime and nighttime are like two different worlds."
"Oh? How so?"
"Old Vine" deliberately elongated the sound, unable to articulate it fully, but it was quite exciting. "You can watch it tonight; I'll take you out in the evening."
"Where are we going? I'm going too! I'm going too!"
Looking at the increasingly lively "Li Cu," "Sang Qingxiao" smiled and nodded in agreement.
It wasn't evening yet when "Old Vine" once again interrupted "Sang Qingxiao," urging her to keep up and join in, along with "Misha" and a "Black Cat."
