In just a few moments, Xiao Hei transformed into human form. Who would want to see it completely naked? Su Mengmeng cursed.
When a demon transforms into human form, they usually have their own means to cover their bodies and prepare clothing in advance. Xiao Hei had always intended to conceal its identity as a demon for life, so it naturally did not think about preparing any clothes. Moreover, under the influence of the medicine, even if it had various methods at its disposal, it could not use them.
Su Mengmeng considered dragging it outside to show those men its nakedness, but then thought that her Brother Yunjin might see it too, and immediately dismissed the idea. Instead, she went to a nearby servant's room and found the dirtiest, most tattered clothes to throw at it.
Xiao Hei didn’t mind and quickly put them on. It was unsure what other tricks Su Mengmeng might pull, but at that moment, it surprisingly felt calm.
It watched as Su Mengmeng tossed a black panther's corpse beside it. Strangely enough, the resemblance to its original form was striking; the positions of the wounds were identical, and some of the scars had even been deliberately aged.
Xiao Hei then watched as Su Mengmeng ran out, shouting that there was an enemy spy who had infiltrated the camp and killed Black General.
As Su Mengmeng shouted, the surrounding warriors quickly gathered, with Zhou Yunjin being the first to burst into the room. It was expected; Zhou Yunjin was the one most concerned about Xiao Hei in the military camp.
Xiao Hei's eyes brightened for a moment, unsure how to speak up when Su Mengmeng returned. She wouldn’t let Zhou Yunjin and Xiao Hei be alone together; as soon as she entered, she linked her arm with Zhou Yunjin's.
"Brother Yunjin, this is the spy! Dressed in servant clothes! I thought she was here to clean Black General's room. I didn’t pay much attention when she lowered her head, but as soon as she got close to me and Black General hadn’t reacted yet, she killed him."
What a clumsy lie! Black General had a keen sense of smell and never allowed strangers to get close. If there had truly been a spy entering, Black General would have swatted them half dead long before.
Zhou Yunjin knew Xiao Hei's temperament well and understood this point. Xiao Hei did not refute her words; instead, it wanted to see his reaction.
Zhou Yunjin glanced at the dead panther on the ground before shifting his gaze to focus intently on the transformed Xiao Hei.
Su Mengmeng nervously asked, "Brother Yunjin, what's wrong? Are you too sad?"
It wasn’t Xiao Hei; Xiao Hei wasn’t dead.
Su Mengmeng’s heart sank; she recognized it at a glance. How could she not feel jealousy?
"Brother Yunjin, what nonsense are you talking about? Are you still in shock over Xiao Hei’s death? This is clearly Xiao Hei! Even the scars from battle are identical."
Suddenly realizing something, Zhou Yunjin looked at Su Mengmeng with a complex expression. "Could you step outside for a moment?"
"Brother Yunjin, how can I leave you alone with this spy? If I stay here, I can at least protect you."
"No need! Just go outside!" Zhou Yunjin's tone grew firmer.
Now that things had reached this point, if she really went outside and Zhou Yunjin took action afterward, all her plans would be wasted.
Determined, Brother Yunjin declared, "Xiao Hei is a demon!"
"Don't talk nonsense!"
