Chen Li silently followed behind Chen, like a shadow in the night. Just then, a petite figure darted out from the side and gracefully landed next to Chen Li. The moonlight illuminated her face, revealing a delicate visage—it was Shen Qingyue.
Chen Li paused for a moment and lowered his voice to ask, "Did you sense it too?"
Shen Qingyue nodded, her small face serious as she replied, "I'm afraid the Supreme Spirit Crystal Mine can't be hidden any longer."
Chen Li's expression turned grave as he gently nodded. "Yes. I underestimated this Chen. If the Supreme Spirit Crystal Mine is leaked by him, everyone will go crazy! We must come up with a plan; otherwise, the Spirit Crystal Mine will be stripped bare, and even the beasts in these mountains won't survive. That would be a disaster."
Shen Qingyue looked into Chen Li's deep eyes, secretly amazed at his profound understanding. "Brother, what do you plan to do?" she asked, her tone carrying a hint of subtle reliance.
Chen Li stroked his chin, a glint of cunning flashing in his eyes. "Since Chen is so eager to find treasures, let's give him a hand and help him achieve his wish."
Shen Qingyue's eyes lit up as she quickly grasped Chen Li's meaning, a sly smile forming on her lips. "You don't mean to stir things up, do you?"
Chen Li shrugged. "Do you have a better idea?"
Shen Qingyue shook her head, her gaze innocent yet excited. She knew her brother was not someone to be trifled with. It was time to create some chaos!
Chen stealthily made his way until he arrived at the entrance of a concealed cave. The compass for treasure hunting spun wildly, its light growing more brilliant—clearly, the treasure lay within this cave.
Taking a deep breath, Chen's eyes sparkled with greed as he crushed a communication talisman to relay the message to Elder Lengyue and the others. Once they arrived, they cautiously entered the cave, careful not to disturb anything.
In the center of the cavern stood a massive Spirit Crystal radiating dazzling light that illuminated the entire space. The Spirit Crystal was crystal clear and exuded rich Spiritual Energy that uplifted one's spirit.
This was the Supreme Spirit Crystal Mine! Chen trembled with excitement, his eyes filled with avarice. He couldn't wait to rush forward and claim the Spirit Crystal for himself.
"Wait! Chen, you guys at Holy Spirit Palace aren't planning to monopolize the Supreme Spirit Crystal, are you?"
A sudden voice broke the excitement of everyone in the Holy Spirit Palace.
Chen turned around, his expression darkening as he saw Chen Li and Shen Qingyue standing at the entrance of the cave. "What are you doing here?" he demanded.
Chen Li shrugged innocently. "Of course, I followed you here. How else would I know you were sneaking around trying to steal treasures?"
"What do you want?" Chen's anger was palpable.
"Nothing much. Since this treasure was discovered by our four major factions together, it should be shared equally," Chen Li said seriously.
Chen's face was so dark it seemed like it could drip water. He clenched his fists and gritted his teeth, "This is mine! You can't take it!"
"Yours?" Chen Li feigned surprise. "This Spirit Crystal Mine was discovered by all four factions together; how can it be yours alone?" He then turned to look at the Cloud Sword Elder and Blazing Sun Elder. "Elders, what do you think?"
The faces of the Cloud Sword Elder and Blazing Sun Elder also darkened, their gazes toward the people of Holy Spirit Palace becoming icy and piercing. If Chen Li hadn't just informed them about the Supreme Spirit Crystal Mine being here, this treasure might have truly been monopolized by Holy Spirit Palace!
Chen was furious enough to explode. After searching for treasures for over ten days, he hadn’t even benefited himself and was now being forced to give it away to outsiders. The feeling was worse than swallowing a fly.
But the people from Heavenly Dao Sect and Golden Sun Sect were watching closely; even if he planned to take the Supreme Spirit Crystal Mine and give a little to both sects to win them over, that was no longer an option!
The Cloud Sword Elder and Blazing Sun Elder looked solemnly at Leng Yue and Chen, their tone colder and more distant. "Leng Yue, since your Holy Spirit Palace is so shameless as to try to monopolize this treasure, don’t blame us for being rude!"
"This Supreme Spirit Crystal Mine must be shared among our four factions."
As soon as he finished speaking, Chen Li added quietly from the side, "The two elders are truly magnanimous. If it were anyone else, Holy Spirit Palace probably wouldn’t get a single crystal!"
Shen Qingyue looked at Chen Li with a sly glint in her eyes and added softly, "Yes, those who make mistakes must be severely punished to learn their lesson!"
Cloud Sword Elder and Blazing Sun Elder exchanged glances. "So you're saying what we just said was a bit unfair?"
The members of Holy Spirit Palace glared hatefully at Chen Li and Shen Qingyue.
"Can you both just shut up?!"
Chen Li and Shen Qingyue seemed to know the unspoken words in their hearts, their mouths unable to stay shut.
Chen Li continued chattering away, "Elders, it's truly unfair for such a perfect match!"
Under the fervent requests of numerous students from the Imperial Academy and disciples from the Heavenly Dao Sect and Golden Sun Sect, the previously agreed-upon average distribution transformed into a new ratio: three shares each for the Imperial Academy, Heavenly Dao Sect, and Golden Sun Sect, while Holy Spirit Palace received just one share.
Leng Yue's chest heaved as her fox-like eyes glared fiercely at Chen Li and Shen Qingyue, wishing she could devour the two siblings whole.
Chen's expression was no less subtle; his fists clenched tightly, making cracking sounds. Although they were eager to argue, given the current situation with the Three Major Forces united, even if he confronted Elder Lengyue, he would be no match.
Helplessly, they could only acquiesce to this arrangement. The four major forces reached a consensus in this intricate state of affairs.
The members of Holy Spirit Palace quietly retreated to a corner of the Supreme Spirit Crystal Mine, silently collecting their share of Spirit Crystals.
Chen glared fiercely at the delighted Chen Li and lowered his voice, "Elder Lengyue, how much longer until Yueyang Elder arrives?"
Leng Yue lowered her gaze, her fingertips flickering as a wisp of black Spiritual Energy flew up, within which a hoarse voice emerged.
"Young Master, do not worry; I will be there shortly!"
Chen's resentment faded slightly but turned into impatience. "Stop dragging your feet! I need you here immediately to help us deal with Chen Li!"
The hoarse voice responded again, "Rest assured, Young Master; this time I have brought you a great gift that will ensure your wishes come true!"
The anger in Chen's eyes dissipated a bit. "Alright, Young Master will wait for you!"
With that said, his cold gaze returned to Chen Li and Shen Qingyue in the distance.
Seeing the excited expressions on their faces only fueled his murderous intent. You two worthless fools will surely be sent to hell by me!
