Shen Qingyue watched Chen Li's radiant smile with exasperation.

After signing the Heavenly Dao contract, Chen Li waved his hand dramatically and led the students from the Imperial Academy to dump all their pills, spirit stones, and herbs onto the ground in one go, creating a small mountain of supplies.
Cloud Sword Elder and Blazing Sun Elder stared at the mountain of supplies before them, their eyes wide with disbelief. Although they were elders of their sect, the pills and spirit stones they had carried were completely depleted during the recent Beast Tide. With these supplies now in hand, they felt a sense of relief wash over them.
"Thank you so much, young friends!" Cloud Sword Elder and Blazing Sun Elder exclaimed joyfully as they hurriedly began to gather the items from the ground.
"You two are too polite. We are allies, after all; helping each other is only natural!" Chen Li replied with a beaming smile, his mischievous expression resembling that of a cat that had just stolen a fish.
Shen Qingyue shook her head and closed her eyes, beginning to meditate and restore her energy. The fish that had taken the bait didn't even realize they had been deceived, and she chose not to say anything further.
After expressing their heartfelt gratitude, Cloud Sword Elder and Blazing Sun Elder quickly collected the pills and spirit stones before leaving the imperial students' tent. Just before departing, Blazing Sun Elder made a point to approach Chen Li, patting him on the shoulder and saying earnestly, "Young man, thank you for convincing everyone. Cloud Sword Elder looked at Chen Li with admiration in his eyes as well. "Heavenly Dao Sect feels the same way."
Chen Li smiled and readily agreed, watching as they left.
