Chen Yuantu's voice was chilling, filled with malice as he radiated an aura like a wolf ready to pounce on its prey.
Chen Li and Shen Qingyue were taken aback by Chen Yuantu's imposing presence, their faces slightly pale, yet they clutched their storage bags tightly, showing no intention of backing down.
"Marquis, we haven't stolen anything!" Chen Li blinked her big, watery eyes and feigned innocence as she asked, her tone tinged with a hint of grievance.
"Yes, Father, we are just helping Grandfather and Mother retrieve the Spiritual Vein they lent you," Shen Qingyue added in a sweet voice, her small face filled with confusion.
"Spiritual Vein?!"
The crowd surrounding them erupted into a frenzy of discussion.
"What? The Wuding Marquis borrowed the Shen Family's Spiritual Vein and hasn't returned it? And now he wants to kill two children over this?"
"This is outrageous! The young lady of the Shen Family was so devoted to him. And now, for the sake of wealth and power, he abandons his wife and children, and even refuses to return the Spiritual Vein!"
"Indeed! How could I have thought the Wuding Marquis was an honorable man?"

Chen Yuantu was furious, unable to maintain his composure any longer. His fingers curled into claws as he aimed for the heads of Chen Li and Shen Qingyue, intent on eliminating these two ignorant Little Beasts on the spot.

At that moment, a clear and cold voice suddenly echoed from the sky. Accompanied by a fragrant breeze, a woman of unparalleled beauty descended from above, positioning herself in front of Chen Li and Shen Qingyue.
