Chen Li felt his consciousness fading, yet he mustered the last of his strength to send a thread of Divine Soul Power carefully into Shen Qingyue's Sea of Consciousness.
"Shen Qingyue, quickly go bring Grandfather and your two uncles to save Mother," Chen Li managed to say before he could no longer hold on and fell into a deep slumber.
Shen Qingyue, who had been asleep, suddenly sensed an unfamiliar Divine Soul Power invading her Sea of Consciousness. Startled, she opened her eyes wide.
In her once clear eyes, a flash of blood-red light appeared, making her look extraordinarily strange.
"Brother?" Shen Qingyue instinctively called out, but quickly realized that she was just an infant and could not speak. Moreover, the information contained in that Divine Soul Power left her utterly shocked.
Mother is in danger?!
Though Shen Qingyue was still very young, her intellect far surpassed that of ordinary children, and she understood what danger meant. The thought of her mother being in peril made her anxious.
"Wah!" A loud cry echoed throughout the Shen Family.
"What happened? What happened?"
Shen Zhentian, who was pacing anxiously in the courtyard, rushed over upon hearing Shen Qingyue's cries.
"Father, what's wrong? Why is Qingyue crying all of a sudden?" Shen Yunting followed closely behind, looking puzzled.
"I don't know! This girl has always been well-behaved; what's going on today?" Shen Zhentian said as he hurried to the cradle and picked up Shen Qingyue.
"Qingyue, don’t cry, don’t cry. Are you hungry? Grandfather will have someone prepare food for you right away." Shen Zhentian gently patted Shen Qingyue's back, soothing her softly.
However, it seemed as if Shen Qingyue did not hear him at all; she continued to wail louder and louder, her little face turning bright red.
What on earth is happening? Shen Zhentian panicked, flustered as he tried to comfort Shen Qingyue to no avail.
"Third Sister went out shopping today and hasn’t returned yet. Could it be...?" Shen Yunting suddenly seemed to recall something, his expression changing slightly.
"Are you saying that something happened to Shen Wanzhou?" Hearing this, Shen Zhentian's heart sank.
"It’s very possible; after all, mother and daughter share a bond. Qingyue might have sensed something." Shen Yunting nodded and suggested, "Why don’t we take Qingyue with us and follow where she points to look for Third Sister?"
"Let’s go now."
Shen Zhentian was already feeling restless and uneasy. At that moment, when his granddaughter began to cry, his anxiety intensified, and he quickly nodded in agreement to whatever was needed.
Thus, Shen Zhentian held Shen Qingyue in his arms, while her two brothers, Shen Yunting and Shen Yunlei, hurriedly followed behind. The four of them rushed out of the Shen Family's main gate.
Strangely enough, just as they stepped outside, Shen Qingyue miraculously stopped crying. Her big watery eyes were fixed ahead, and her little hand pointed in a certain direction, waving excitedly.
"Look, Dad! Qingyue seems to be showing us the way," Shen Yunting exclaimed upon seeing her behavior.
"Let's follow her," Shen Zhentian said without hesitation, carrying Shen Qingyue as he moved toward the direction she indicated.
As practitioners of cultivation, the Shen family members were naturally quick on their feet, and they soon found themselves in a secluded alleyway.
"This alley is usually deserted; why did Qingyue bring us here?" Shen Yunlei remarked, glancing around with a furrowed brow.
"Don't speak; just follow Qingyue," Shen Zhentian replied in a low voice. He had a vague premonition that this alley might hold the key to finding Shen Wanzhou.
However, not long after they entered the alley, Shen Qingyue suddenly began to cry again, this time even louder than before, her little finger pointing more forcefully ahead.
"Dad, do you feel that? It seems like something is fluctuating up ahead," Shen Yunlei said suddenly, his expression changing as he spoke.
Upon hearing this, Shen Zhentian quickly extended his senses to carefully investigate their surroundings.
Indeed, there was a faint energy fluctuation present, and it seemed to carry a hint of bloodiness? Shen Zhentian's face grew serious as he spoke.
"Bloodiness?!" The faces of the two brothers turned pale at the mention of it.
Could it be... The three exchanged glances and saw an ominous premonition reflected in each other's eyes.
Shen Yunting and Shen Yunlei gasped in unison as a chill ran up their spines.
"Brother, could it really be what we think?" Shen Yunlei's voice trembled as he tightened his grip on his sword, staring intently into the depths of the alley.
Shen Yunting remained silent but wore a grim expression; veins bulged on his forehead, clearly indicating his inner turmoil.
Taking a deep breath to suppress his fear, Shen Zhentian said firmly: "No matter what happens, we must go in and take a look! Shen Wanzhou and Li are still waiting for us!"
With that declaration, he no longer hesitated and led the way deeper into the alley while holding onto Shen Qingyue tightly.
Shen Yunting and Shen Yunlei followed closely behind, forming a triangular formation to protect Shen Zhentian and Shen Qingyue, vigilantly observing their surroundings. The narrow alley was deep and shadowy, flanked by towering courtyard walls that were weathered and covered in moss, exuding an eerie atmosphere.
As they ventured deeper, the metallic scent of blood thickened in the air, and faint sounds of clashing weapons could be heard in the distance.
"There!" Shen Yunting's sharp gaze suddenly pointed toward a corner ahead, his voice low but urgent.
Shen Zhentian and the others quickly turned to look. There, on the wall at the corner, a faint golden light flickered, forming a circular formation that enveloped the entire area.
It was the Heaven-Sealing Earth-Locking Talisman!
Shen Zhentian recognized the formation at once, his expression turning grim. The Heaven-Sealing Earth-Locking Talisman was an extremely vicious array; once set up, it would completely seal off everything within a mile radius, preventing anyone from entering or exiting, and blocking all communication.
Even more terrifying was that this talisman could isolate all breath and sound. This meant that even if someone inside were killed, those outside would have no way of knowing.
Damn it! Who could be so ruthless as to want to put Shen Wanzhou and Li to death?
Fury burned within Shen Zhentian; his eyes turned red with rage, and a murderous aura surrounded him. He never expected that someone would target his daughter and grandson with such malice, setting up such a cruel formation clearly intending to leave no survivors.
"Father, don't hesitate! Break the formation quickly!"
Shen Yunting and Shen Yunlei were equally anxious, eager to rush in and tear those villains apart.
Taking a deep breath to suppress his anger, Shen Zhentian spoke in a deep voice: "You guard me; I will break the formation!"
With that, he no longer hesitated. He immediately channeled all his Vital Energy and unleashed his full Innate cultivation level, transforming into a massive Spirit Seal hand that came crashing down fiercely.
