Xu Shuyang was a senior executive before the apocalypse. When the disaster first struck, his girlfriend, Liu Jia Jia, happened to come looking for him, only to be trapped here due to the sudden drop in temperature.
Not long after, Chen Yunsong took control of the neighborhood. Xu Shuyang watched helplessly as his girlfriend was taken away from him. He felt powerless!

The man who was pointed at felt deeply unwilling and wanted to argue, but when he saw the fierce glare from the other man, he immediately shrank back.
He thought to himself that when Xu Shuyang returned, he would make him pay!
This was the dark side of human nature; in front of the strong, people were submissive and dared not resist, while in front of the weak, they became arrogant and even more ruthless.
Xu Shuyang knew that the man’s heart was undoubtedly filled with resentment because in such an environment, every morsel of food was precious and hard-earned.
However, he did not dwell on these thoughts. Under Brother Li's guidance, they approached Wang Lei.
After observing for some time, Xu Shuyang had a rough understanding of the situation regarding this group of people.
Wang Lei was undoubtedly one of the core figures among them, residing on the top floor and enjoying the best resources and treatment. The ones responsible for guarding them, such as Brother Li, were on the periphery; although their status was low, they still received some food and supplies.

These survivors lived every day in fear and despair, uncertain of when death would come for them. They dared not resist because angering Wang Lei could lead to even more brutal and inhumane punishments.
Xu Shuyang couldn't help but wonder what kind of inhuman torment his girlfriend Liu Jia Jia might be facing at the hands of these ruthless beasts. Was she already dead?
With these thoughts in mind, Xu Shuyang's determination to go upstairs grew even stronger.
