"Beep beep beep, Master, there are guests arriving," the intelligent voice of Zero echoed.
Had that group come to cause trouble again? Lin Tianyu thought as he opened the surveillance feed, eager to see what they were up to.
On the screen, Chu Xiaoli was shivering in the cold, pacing back and forth in front of Lin Tianyu's door, occasionally knocking on the security door.
Seeing this scene, Lin Tianyu mused to himself: Just when I was feeling bored, they showed up at the perfect time. With that thought, a sly smile crept onto his lips.
Outside, Chu Xiaoli's lips had turned purple from the cold, and her body trembled uncontrollably. She silently complained to herself: It's so cold! I've been knocking for ages; why hasn't Lin Tianyu opened the door yet?
Just then, Lin Tianyu's voice broke the silence of the corridor. "What do you want?"
Hearing his voice, Chu Xiaoli felt a surge of hope, as if she had grasped a lifeline. Shivering, she spoke to the surveillance camera at the door, "Lin Tianyu, I need to talk to you. Can you let me in? It's freezing out here."
Chu Xiaoli didn't have any special feelings for Lin Tianyu; she just couldn't bear the cold in the corridor. If she stayed out there much longer, she feared she might freeze to death before she could finish explaining her situation. That's why she was so eager to get inside.
After listening to Chu Xiaoli's plea, Lin Tianyu pondered for a moment before retrieving a high-tech bracelet from his space.
This bracelet was something he had found in a laboratory at the National Military Base. It looked stylish and lightweight, not much different from an ordinary bracelet. However, its functions were incredibly powerful—similar to an electronic ankle monitor but far more advanced and sophisticated.
It boasted an extended battery life and could be charged wirelessly; as long as it remained within a designated area set by the controller, it wouldn't run out of power without needing to be removed!
Once worn, this device restricted movement to only the area Lin Tianyu had configured. If the wearer attempted to leave that area, a strong electric current would be released instantly, capable of rendering them unconscious or even causing death.
Additionally, Lin Tianyu could control the release of electricity at any time and always know the wearer's location!
This was a means of limiting freedom of movement; for Lin Tianyu, it was a necessary measure for protecting himself and ensuring loyalty from others.
Having experienced betrayal in his previous life, Lin Tianyu understood the complexities and unpredictability of human nature all too well. Thus, he remained highly vigilant towards everyone.

After some contemplation, Chu Xiaoli ultimately decided to put on the Bracelet. As soon as she did, the smart screen displayed a message indicating a successful connection.
Then, after a series of complex verification operations, Lin Tianyu finally unlocked the door. Leaning against the doorframe, he said in a flat tone, "Come in."
