At that moment, Aunt Liu was lost in her fantasies about how to put Lin Tianyu in his place when she suddenly received a message. Her expression darkened instantly, her eyes flashing with anger and dissatisfaction. Lin Tianyu had repeatedly challenged her authority, showing her no respect at all.
Aunt Liu sent another message: "Yesterday everyone was just a bit emotional; we’re all from the same community, it was just a joke! You’re bringing out bows and water guns—someone could get hurt! Even if they came after you first, does that mean you can break the law? The authorities have issued a notice for you to cooperate with our Community Committee for an investigation! If you refuse to cooperate, when the officials arrive, no one will be able to protect you!"
Aunt Liu thought to herself that threatening him with the authorities would surely scare him into submission. She believed that as soon as she mentioned the officials, Lin Tianyu would be frightened and willing to follow her orders.
Watching the group chat where they were trying to coax and deceive him, Lin Tianyu scoffed dismissively; he couldn't be bothered with them. He knew all too well the arrogance of the Community Committee members—each one thought they were superior, acting as if they were important figures. In reality, they were just a bunch of self-righteous fools.
The so-called Community Committee they bragged about was nothing more than a temporary organization without any real power or status. Yet these people treated it as their capital, flaunting their authority and trying to show off in front of ordinary citizens.
Lin Tianyu felt nothing but contempt for such individuals. He would not be intimidated by their arrogance nor would he easily compromise. He immediately replied in the group chat: "What do you think you are? Don’t think you’re so impressive; you’re just a bunch of clowns pretending to be powerful. Old hag, do you think you can establish your authority by using me? Save it; you're not even worthy!"
Lin Tianyu's words were blunt and left no room for the Community Committee members' pride. Law? What law was there left at this point?
Lin Tianyu felt it wasn't enough, so he continued, "You people really don't know what's good for you, each one of you thicker-skinned than the last. If you keep talking nonsense, I won't spare you either! Stop bothering me, or just wait to be dealt with!"
After sending the message, Lin Tianyu casually put away his phone. He couldn't be bothered with these trivial matters any longer and turned back to his own tasks.
People like this always felt superior; if they got into a dispute, it would never end! They were just wasting time because they had nothing better to do! Lin Tianyu muttered to himself that if they didn't know their place soon, he might as well just close their accounts!
On the other side, Aunt Liu looked at the messages on her phone, her face flushed with anger. She gritted her teeth in fury, "Lin Tianyu, just wait until I find an opportunity; I will not let you off easily!"
