As Yelai was observing, a voice came from beside him. He turned to see one of the other four Sequencers smiling at him.
"You and I?"
"Yes, sir. I come from Safe Zone Zhang Liao. We will need to fight side by side later, so I thought it would be good to get acquainted."
With Zhang Liao starting the introductions, the other Sequencers followed suit. Once the last person finished introducing themselves, all four turned their attention to Yelai, their eyes revealing a hint of curiosity.
They were not just eager to familiarize themselves with each other for the upcoming battle; they were also intrigued about where Yelai came from in the Safe Zone. Yelai remained calm, but they could sense something extraordinary about him, which only fueled their curiosity regarding his background.
"I come from the Safe Zone. You can just call me Yelai."
Not wanting to stand out as an outsider, Yelai introduced himself as well.
"Safe Zone?"
"Mr. Ye, you come from Safe Zone?" The four members of Zhang Liao were taken aback, momentarily thinking they had misheard.
"Yes, Safe Zone," Yelai confirmed.
The four members of Zhang Liao were speechless, their expressions turning strange as a single thought crossed their minds: they had misjudged him.
He was from a Safe Zone that was even further back than theirs.
The one who spoke up was one of the four who, like Yelai, hailed from the Hundredth District. He had expected to find a strong ally and hoped to cling to him for survival, only to discover that he was from an even less secure place.
Not only would they be unable to protect him, but he might struggle to protect himself.
With a wry smile, he glanced at Yelai, sighed inwardly like the others, and quietly returned to his seat.
Meanwhile, Yelai, unfazed by their reactions and dressed in his Sequence Combat Uniform, continued to inquire about information regarding the 【Acupoint】 from his Contact Person.
Not long after, the armored vehicle came to a stop. Everyone inside, including Yelai, could sense that they had arrived at Signal Point simply by hearing the roars and commotion outside.
"We're here," said the Contact Person, his expression serious as he pressed the button for the rear door of the armored vehicle. He placed his fingers on his chest and performed a military salute in Sequence.
Yelai nodded slightly in response and reached out to unfasten the buckle of the rope around Gaze's neck, issuing a command. "Get down and help me eliminate all Anomalous Entities in sight. Do not harm anyone."
There was no hesitation. Just like before at the Teleportation Altar, Yelai charged out of the armored vehicle without a second thought. What bravery he displayed! Surely this wasn't his first encounter with an Anomalous Entity invasion; it seemed reckless.
"Hey, is he in a rush to meet God or something?" The four inside the vehicle shook their heads in disbelief.
But despite their teasing, they quickly followed suit, preparing to catch up with Yelai. As Sequencers, they understood the importance of sticking together during large-scale operations against Anomalous Entities. Even though Yelai came from the Safe Zone, having another Sequencer around was better than being alone.
However, as they exited the vehicle, they froze in shock. "Mr. Ye Lai, wait for us!"
Before they could finish their sentence, their eyes widened in disbelief. "Oh my God! Am I seeing things?"
Yelai was charging toward Signal Point with incredible speed, seemingly unfazed as he rushed into what should have been a chaotic scene filled with Anomalous Entities. They expected him to be surrounded by Acupoints and calling for help, but instead, what unfolded before them was entirely unexpected.
"Guardians of the Signal! I'm here to assist you!"
With a roar from Yelai, he appeared like a war god, his form a fleeting illusion in the eyes of the crowd. When they looked again, he stood before an Acupoint.
His speed was like lightning.
With hands that left behind hazy afterimages, he effortlessly dodged the four arms of the Acupoint's attack. His thumbs, sharp as needles, pierced into the exposed temples on either side of the Acupoint's head.
Upon closer inspection, it was clear that this Acupoint had a Dead Point exposed, its Rank reaching three.
At the same time, another Acupoint approached him from the side, raising its hand to strike at Yelai. But just as it lifted its arm, a loud bark echoed through the air.
The Acupoint turned its head, glancing back in surprise.
