Ultimately, it drove him to madness. 0

Lost in the whispers of Cthulhu. 0

No one can endure a conversation with Cthulhu for more than a minute. The highest record stands at one minute. 0

Now, Yelai has broken that record. He was conversing with something in the mist, perhaps even laying eyes on Cthulhu himself. 0

What if I refuse? You must know that I am the only one who possesses the Black Key; I don’t believe you can find the first Black Key. The Sequence Keys are all unique. 0

Their conversation continued. The dialogue sounded like a normal exchange, devoid of any madness or lunacy. 0

Yelai not only broke the record but also did not succumb to madness or confusion in the whispers of Cthulhu. 0

Such a shocking situation went unseen; Cthulhu Town is not a place where people come every day, and the only ones aware of the circumstances are the houses and rooms—Anomalous Entities—of Cthulhu Town. 0

Time ticked by second by second. 0

Yelai's communication with the entity in the mist did not last long—about two minutes had passed. 0

It seems you cannot kill me, or rather, you do not dare to kill me easily. Is it because my Sequence Key is the Black Key? 0

Even if you are Cthulhu, even if you are a god—Anomalous Entity—you do not dare to kill me easily; I hold the advantageous position here. 0

Humans are fragile, but so what? Our potential is limitless, isn’t it? 0

My conditions are simple: establish a connection with me; I need your power. 0

In the midst of the fog, only Yelai's words could be understood, while no one knew what the whispers in the mist were saying. However, from Yelai's statements, one could infer the content. It seemed that something within the fog wanted to make a deal with Yelai, though the specifics of the transaction remained unclear. The only certainty was that Yelai was haggling. 0

It was simply unbelievable. The easily killable Sequencer known as the "Wasted Key" was negotiating with a top-tier Anomalous Entity known as "God." If this got out, no one would believe it. Yet, the truth lay before their eyes. 0

Then, it appeared that the deal had fallen through. "Your offer is harmful to me and offers no benefit; I have no reason to accept it," Yelai's soft voice echoed through the mist, drawing the attention of the Anomalous Entities residing in the houses and rooms of Cthulhu Town. They were intrigued. How could that human be so bold? 0

They couldn't help but lean closer to the windows, eager to catch a glimpse of what Yelai was doing with whatever lurked in the fog. 0

Suddenly, there was a shout from Yelai, followed by a dragging sound that faded into the distance. It was the sound of Yelai being pulled away by the tentacles of an Octopus. No one knew where Yelai had been taken. The fog slowly began to dissipate, retreating from the town and vanishing into the depths of darkness. 0

A few seconds later, Cthulhu Town returned to its former silence. There were no longer any signs or sounds related to Yelai. Even as the days passed, Luo Zhenxue visited Cthulhu Town several times. Sequencers also graced Cthulhu Town with their presence, bringing offerings to Cthulhu in hopes of exchanging them for wishes. The mist appeared as a result, carrying with it ancient whispers. Not only were there no signs or sounds of Yelai, but even traces of Yelai were nowhere to be found. Time continued to pass swiftly. 0
